SANTA’S FIRST STOP – MARIETTA, THU NOV 30

Get ready, get set, go — It’s that time of year when Santa stops in, setting his feet down in each of our communities – three days in a row.  First stop – the City of Marietta.

Marietta to Host Santa’s Arrival & Christmas Tree Lighting November 30

The City of Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in conjunction with the arrival of Santa Claus on Thursday, November 30, 2023 in Glover Park on the Marietta Square.
The Christmas Cheer begins at 4:00pm on Thursday, November 30th with performances by local school choruses. Santa makes his grand entrance via a City of Marietta firetruck at 5:150pm followed by the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree at 6pm. Important information – Santa must leave the Square promptly 8pm that evening to make his way back to the North Pole! AND don’t forget the Ugly Holiday Sweater Walking Parade that starts at 4:45 approximately — see you there.

Write a Letter to Santa!!

Meet some of Santa’s elves and watch as your letter gets put straight in to the hands of the Big Man himself! Letter writing stations will be up throughout the park for individuals who want to send their wishes to Santa.
