A beautiful experience to get in the spirit of the meaning of Christmas. The community is invited to attend Carols By Candlelight. If you miss the concert today – there is another Monday, December 4, at 7:00 pm.
First Baptist Church Marietta has been presenting their Carols By Candlelight concerts for twenty-four years. This year, the concerts are on Sunday, December 3rd at 3:00pm and 7:00pm and Monday, December 4th at 7:00pm. In the evening concerts there will be a candle lighting component in the service. All the concerts are free along with childcare for birth to Pre-K children. Around sixty singers make up the Worship Choir this year and the First Orchestra is comprised of about thirty-five musicians.
Dr. Paul Hill, the Director/Music Minister, who introduced Carols By Candlelight twenty-four years ago when he came to the church, has made it a priority to carefully select beautiful arrangements centered around carols, all focusing on the birth of Jesus.
As a bonus, forty-five minutes before each concert there will be a 30-minute organ recital from members of the church’s team of organists on their 46-rank Reuter pipe-organ.
