SAT JULY 25 THE SOUTHERN MUSEUM’S Railroad Rendezvous The popular Railroad Rendezvous event will return to the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History on Saturday, July 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The family-friendly event celebrates railroads and transportation with a full day of activities and demonstrations. Guests can enjoy children’s flatcar rides, a model car display, railroad artifacts presented by the Military Railroad Society and a variety of interactive exhibits.

SAT JULY 25 Acworth’s Big Rig Back-to-School Bash The City of Acworth is excited to bring you a touch-a-truck style event that will combine local businesses and the “Big Rigs” you see on the roads every day! This back-to-school bash will take place at Logan Farm Park on Saturday, July 25. We will have a “silent hour” from 9am – 10am with limited lights, sirens and sounds for our sensitive populations. From 10am – 2pm be ready for all the lights, sirens, horns and more! Food trucks will be present.
THUR JULY 30 COBB COUNTY NATIONAL NIGHT OUT Shake hands with our safety heroes, firefighters, police, and emergency staff at National Night Out, 6 – 9 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta. It’s going to be a night filled with fun, food, and festivities. Bring your family, meet your local public safety personnel, and enjoy a night of unity and positivity. Together, we make our community safer. This year’s free event includes a touch-a-truck area, animal adoptions, reptile encounters, national park rangers, bounce houses, music and performances, food trucks and more surprises. There will also be free backpacks and school tools while supplies last. And stay until the end for this year’s plot twist — fireworks!
