TUES APRIL 15 COUNTY WIDE JOB FAIR The City of Kennesaw, in partnership with Cobb County, is hosting a County-Wide Job Fair! This is a great opportunity to bring talent and workforce to your organization, collect resumes for future use, expose your business to hundreds of possible patrons and network with other businesses! All businesses and industries are welcome!  The job fair will be held at the Cobb Civic Center on April 15, 2025 between the hours of 11:00am – 2:00pm. All vendors will be required to arrive at least an hour early for setup, and MUST STAY for the duration of the event. Tables and chairs will not be provided. THURS APR 17 TACO NIGHT WITH THE KENNESAW POLICE DEPT. Join our police department for tacos and an open conversation on how OUR KPD secures our City. This event is on Thursday April 17 from 6-8 pm at the Ben Robertson Community Center, Kennesaw. Free Tacos and refreshments plus community Conversation.

FRI & SAT APR 18 & 19 MASTER GARDENER PLANT SALE – Celebrate Earth Day and Easter this year with your local Master Gardeners at the 25th Annual Cobb Master Gardener Plant Sale and Expo: April 18th and 19th, 10:00 am to 4:00   at Jim Miller Park’s covered arena.  Learn, explore, and shop from over 90 vendors!  Plants, (including plants grown by our own master gardeners), gardening supplies, bird and bee products, yard art, crafts, pottery, and more will be available.   The ever popular “Ask A Master Gardener” table will be staffed each day by experts to answer your gardening questions.  This event is free to the public.  Learn more at cobbmastergardeners.com.

ATTENTION EGG HUNT LOVERS!

SAT APR 19 NORTHEAST COBB COMMUNITY EGG DROP. hosted by Piedmont Church and Cobb County School District.. Plan to join us for the 14th Annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop at Sprayberry High School. There will be fun, food, games, DJ, activities, and of course egg hunts for everyone. Kids will marvel as a helicopter drops thousands of eggs onto the Sprayberry High School football field to kick-off the hunt. There will be more than 90,000 eggs and candy for the various hunts, which includes hunts for Special Needs, Toddlers, and the rest of the excited Children. Free photos with the Easter Bunny are scheduled from 11:00 am til 3:00 pm. Kids Zone has unlimited rides for $10 per child. And you don’t want to miss Peter Hart with his puppet shows through out the day. The funds raised from the Egg Drop go to support multiple organizations in our community. Last year more than $24,000.00 went right back into the community from the event. The fun begins at 10:00 and lasts till 4:00. Admission and parking are FREE. SAT APR 19 MARIETTA’S BUNNY BREAKFAST – The City of Marietta’s Parks & Recreation Department invites families to register for the annual Bunny Brunch, a fun-filled Easter event at Custer Park Sports & Fitness Center on Saturday, April 19, 2025. SAT APR 19 ART HATCH AT KENNESAW DEPOT PARK The Art Hatch event, a highly anticipated celebration of art and nature, will be held at Depot Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. The event will feature a variety of interactive activities, performances and art installations suitable for all ages. This is part of the community-wide Art Blooms initiative, where colorful art eggs are installed throughout Downtown Kennesaw, Swift-Cantrell Park, and along the Noonday Creek Trail starting April 1. The colorful egg exhibit is designed to showcase student creativity while encouraging the community’s engagement with the theme of “Seeds of Change.”

SAT APR 19 POP IN MUSEUM HISTORY CENTER – Farm to Table Fun The Marietta History Center invites families to join them for their monthly Pop-In event on Saturday, April 19th from 10 am to 4 pm. Held on the 3rd Saturday of every month, Pop-Ins offer an exciting opportunity for children and their families to engage with the museum through themed activities and crafts. FRI APR 25 GLOVER PARK CONCERTA TRIBUTE TO THE RAT PACK -8:00 PM Glover Park Concert Series, presented by Wellstar Health System. These free concerts take place monthly in Glover Park on the Marietta Square from April through September. Blankets and lawn chairs may be set up in the park anytime on Friday.  No plastic ground covering, ropes, tape, stakes, etc. used to section off areas are permitted inside the park as they will be removed and all personal tables must be set up in the street after 6:00 p.m., not in the park. SAT APR 26 LIVE AT LOGAN FARM PARK 5:00 pm til 10:00 PM Live at Logan Farm Park returns this year Saturday, April 26, 2025. The Acworth Arts Alliance will be partnering with the City of Acworth to bring you Live at Logan Farm Park featuring a free concert. Live at Logan Farm Park is the annual Acworth Arts Alliance and the Acworth Art House fundraiser. Event proceeds from sponsor tables support the Acworth Arts Alliance, specifically to fund a scholarship for students pursuing a degree in art as well as to fund arts initiatives in underfunded programs and among the underserved in our community. SAT APR 26 FIT CITY 5K The 2025 Kennesaw Grand Prix 5K series is set to return, offering four races on a fast USATF-certified course through downtown Kennesaw and Swift-Cantrell Park. Recognized as North Georgia’s premier race series, the event provides an opportunity for competitive runners seeking a Peachtree Road Race qualifying time while also catering to beginners, walkers and families with a festival-like atmosphere. The first race will be held on Sat April 26. The race-day schedule includes a one-mile fun run at 7:30 a.m., the 5K at 8 a.m. and a Tot Trot at 8:55 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 9:15 a.m. The entry fee is $35 per race and includes a race T-shirt. SAT APR 26 OUT DOOR MOVIE NIGHT kicking off the season with a special screening of DreamWorks Animation Studios: Wicked Sing-Along on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Swift-Cantrell Park. The movie will be shown on a large inflatable screen at 8:15 p.m. and is rated PG, making it a perfect family-friendly event. SUN APR 27 TASTE OF MARIETTA – The Taste of Marietta will be held on Sunday, April 27th, 2025 – 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM on The Historic Marietta Square. More than fifty area restaurants will be showcasing their best dishes. We will have musical entertainment all day on stages throughout the festival, fun and games in the kids’ zone. In addition to a food judging competition, local chef spotlights on stage, and unique shopping opportunities. New this year will be the Publix VIP Lounge at Boxwood Social and the Georgia Grown Member Village.

SAT MAY 3 – DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Dragon Boat Atlanta and The City of Acworth are excited to bring back the Acworth Dragon Boat Festival! This event will be held at Dallas Landing Park on Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Many communities hold dragon boat races as different means to benefit charitable organizations within the community. These festivals are fun filled with days for all ages featuring corporate and community teams racing in 46-foot long ornamental dragon boats. Race day combines various cultural activities with food and fun for spectators and participants. People love the thrill, the teamwork, the adrenaline, and positive interaction in the boat. People who never thought of themselves as athletes can thrive in a dragon boat and discover a challenging alternative to other sports, which is why this is currently the fastest growing water sport!

WED-SAT MAY 7-10 NCHS PLANT SALE. (NCHS students – Greenhouse Gang – are members of the Garden Club of Georgia and are hosting their annual PLANT Sale. Wed, Thursday. MON KENNESAW FARMER’S MARKET OPENS Monday, May 5, at the city-owned parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Moon Station Road. The market will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Monday through August 25, with the exception of May 27 (Memorial Day) when the market will be closed.Shoppers can look forward to a variety of fresh produce, local vegetables, fruits, baked goods and specialty items provided by area farmers and makers. This event offers a unique opportunity to support local vendors while enjoying a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.In case of inclement weather, the market will proceed rain or shine unless safety concerns require cancellation. THE THIRD WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH ACWORTH’S Senior Luncheon Join us every third Wednesday of the month for lunch and bingo at the City of Acworth’s Senior Luncheon This program is FREE to all City of Acworth seniors and $10.00 to all outside the city limits. FRI Acworth Farmers Market will take place on Friday mornings between April 5 and October 25 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The market is located in the Logan Farm Park Expansion, located at 4405 Cherokee Street in Acworth. Market customers will have a wide variety of garden ripe Georgia grown vegetables, eggs, cheese, bedding plants, fresh-baked bread, pies, cakes, honey, and jams to choose from each week. This year’s market will be bigger and better than previous years and shoppers won’t believe the selection of homegrown goodies!
