Yep Zach Seabaugh is in the home stretch on NBC’s The Voice — last night the teams were cut in half and twelve performers moved on to the next round. Zach is one of them, voted in by the American public.
In case you have been lost on a desert island for the last couple of months, Zach Seabaugh, who has grown up in Marietta. GA, has been winning every competition put in front of him by The Voice. A long time country music singer (his favorites are Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley), Zach has been performing in public since he was about eight.
By ninth grade he was performing on stage at the Strand Theater in every musical Earl Reese put on – At Kennesaw Mountain High School, he was one of the lead singers in several of Coy Dunn’s productions. In March of this year, Zach Seabaugh won the state champion in Boys Solo and was part of the state champion quartet also including Jesse Connor, Dylan Kalafut, and Adam Stegall as Kennesaw Mountain High School’s Literary Team won the State 6A Competition. Choosing performing over football, last Spring Zach hung up his football gear and jumped into dance lessons at Bravo Dance Centre to round out his performing abilities.
And Tuesday evening, he put everything together that he has learned on his journey (and more) to land a spot with eleven other performers as The Voice makes its way to choosing a winner for Season Nine. Zach blew everyone out of the chairs with his rendition of “Brand New Girlfriend” – including his Coach, Blake Shelton. Priceless performance of “Brand New Girlfriend” which you can see right here:
