Free Event At The Strand
The Strand is hosting a FREE open house and variety show to thank our community for our support. This event is in partnership with the Atlanta Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society. On Sunday, November 15 at 3:00 pm a Variety Show featuring Ron Carter and the very talented Strand singers and dancers including Catherine Mouton, Taj Stephens, Joe Arnoti, Shelbea Own, Carley Vogel, with a special appearance by Cassi Costulas (General Manager of the Strand).
Featured will be the great music from Broadway and the American Songbook – which include songs from 42nd Street, Bye Bye Birdie, Titanic and solos — all accompanied by Ron Carter on the Strand’s mighty Allen Theater Organ. Stay after for a self guided tour of the theatre. No ticket required, general seating – FREE EVENT. A Christmas Tradition – December 4th – 20th, 2015

The tradition continues with another year of a SPECTACULAR holiday song and dance revue! During the first three weekends of December, The Strand will produce its biggest and most elaborate show yet, A Christmas Tradition. This song and dance revue will show off The Strand’s awe inspiring sets and effects like has never been seen before, as well as the diva voices and high energy dances that Strand patrons have come to know and love. A Christmas Tradition is guaranteed to make the entire family dance, clap, and enjoy the spirit of the holidays – from Santa-loving six year olds to out of town in-laws. Tickets for A Christmas Tradition are on sale now. Seating is assigned, and tickets are $25. Royal Tea for Two or Three!

(Cue royal fanfare) Back by popular demand is our Christmas Royal Tea and Grand Yuletide Ball, even grander and much, much more royal than before! During the month of December, The Strand will transform from the historic theatre we know and love to a royal residence for the Prince and Princess of the season and their revered guests.
Last holiday season we played host to over 200 young royals who attended our Christmas Royal Tea and Grand Yuletide Ball for high tea and brief dance lesson from the Prince and Princess. Boys and girls alike arrived as their favorite royal character or simply dressed for the occasion, adorned with tiaras and sashes.
Be sure to get your tickets as the season approaches because your prince or princess will not want to miss out. The Prince and Princess eagerly await your attendance at this Grand Ball event!
Charlie Brown Christmas Tribute Concert
Tuesday, December 15, 8pm. Featuring Jeffrey Bützer and T. T. Mahony and a Beach Boys Christmas set with Chad Shivers & The Silent Knights.
Back for their fourth year at The Strand, Jeffrey Bützer and T.T. Mahony present a jazzy musical tribute to Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas. The show, now an established Atlanta tradition, will be making its way outside the perimeter to a family friendly venue! Bützer and Mahony will be playing the whimsical Christmas songs that Charlie Brown and the gang have made favorites for the holiday season.
Opening the show will be Bützer’s “regular gig,” Jeffrey Bützer and the Bicycle Eaters, followed by Chad Shivers and the Silent Knights and their Beach Boys Christmas Tribute. The Charlie Brown Christmas Tribute will round out the night with the famous Vince Guaraldi music you know and love. All ages, December 15 at 8pm.Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 the day of show.
It’s a Wonderful Life Marathon
December 21 @ 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, & 9pm
The 1946 Christmas classic film starring Jimmy Stewart!
Take a break from your last minute holiday shopping and remember the importance of family and compassion with It’s a Wonderful Life. In this true holiday classic, an angel (Henry Travers) helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman (James Stewart) by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. Get here half an hour early for a holiday preshow and sing along on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ. Tickets are general admission, $8 for adults and $7 for seniors, students, and military.
