FRI MAY 2 FIRST FRIDAY NIGHT CONCERT. May 2 – Rich Brock (Comedian) Known for his clean, high-energy comedy, Rich Brock—also known as “Big Rich”—brings humor rooted in storytelling and life experience. A former pastor from small-town Georgia, Brock shares witty takes on marriage, parenting, career changes and dating in his 50s, all delivered with warmth and laughter. SAT MAY 3 – DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Dragon Boat Atlanta and The City of Acworth are excited to bring back the Acworth Dragon Boat Festival! This event will be held at Dallas Landing Park on Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Many communities hold dragon boat races as different means to benefit charitable organizations within the community. These festivals are fun filled with days for all ages featuring corporate and community teams racing in 46-foot long ornamental dragon boats. Race day combines various cultural activities with food and fun for spectators and participants. People love the thrill, the teamwork, the adrenaline, and positive interaction in the boat. People who never thought of themselves as athletes can thrive in a dragon boat and discover a challenging alternative to other sports, which is why this is currently the fastest growing water sport!

SAT MAY 3 KENNESAW CONCERT BON JOVI tribute Shot Thru the Heart: The Bon Jovi Experience This premier tribute band delivers the ultimate Bon Jovi concert experience, playing the greatest hits with the energy and authenticity of the original band. Attendees are encouraged to bring collapsible lawn chairs, beach chairs, bag chairs, or camping chairs to enjoy the shows. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors. SAT & SUN MAY 3 & 4 MARIETTA DAZE – a two-day arts, crafts, and music festival, presented by Superior Plumbing, takes place Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th at the Historic Marietta Square. This annual festival brings together local artisans, musicians, and festival-goers for a weekend full of creativity, entertainment, and family fun. May-Retta Daze Festival will feature an impressive lineup of handmade goods, including paintings, pottery, woodworking, metalwork, glass, fabric, soap, candles, and much more. Whether you are an art lover or looking for something unique, you’ll find something special from local exhibitors and artists. In addition to the arts and crafts, the Music Festival will highlight the best in local acoustic performances throughout both days on the Glover Park stage, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy live music. MON MAY 5 KENNESAW FARMER’S MARKET OPENS Monday, May 5, at the city-owned parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Moon Station Road. The market will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Monday through August 25, with the exception of May 27 (Memorial Day) when the market will be closed.Shoppers can look forward to a variety of fresh produce, local vegetables, fruits, baked goods and specialty items provided by area farmers and makers. This event offers a unique opportunity to support local vendors while enjoying a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.In case of inclement weather, the market will proceed rain or shine unless safety concerns require cancellation. WED-SAT MAY 7-10 NCHS PLANT SALE. (NCHS students – Greenhouse Gang – are members of the Garden Club of Georgia and are hosting their annual PLANT Sale. Wed, Thursday. And Friday times are 3:30-5:30 pm. Sat . May 10. 9-1:00 pm. All takes place in front of NCHS between the front office and the auditorium. Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, accepted.
