FRI APR 6 ACWORTH FARMER’S MARKET OPENS for the season. Acworth Farmers Market – The Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer’s Market will begin this season on Friday, April 6 and continue each Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until noon through Friday, October 26. The market is located in Historic Downtown Acworth in the Acworth First Baptist Church Parking Lot on the north end of Main Street. The Acworth Farmer’s Market is sponsored by the Acworth Downtown Development Authority. TUES APR 10 Acworth Spring Town Hall Meeting 6:30 pm. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen would like to invite you to attend the Spring Town Hall Meeting. The meeting will take place at the Acworth Municipal Courtroom located at 4408 Acworth Industrial Drive (adjacent to the Police Station). Come hear about many of the projects which are planned and get updates on the projects that are underway.

FRI- SUN APR 13-15 COBB COUNTY BOOK SALE Make plans now to attend the spring semi-annual book sale April 13-15 at the Cobb Civic Center. Book sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The civic center is located at 548 South Marietta Pkwy SE, Marietta and has plenty of free parking.

SAT APR 14 MARIETTA TREE KEEPERS – 8:30 AM. Calling for volunteers of all ages to come out and assist Marietta Tree Keepers as we maintain Hill Park on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Hill Park is a pretty little pocket park that was transformed from a once vacant lot just a few blocks off the northeast corner of Historic Marietta Square. The park was dedicated to the memory of Willie Hill, deacon of Zion Baptist Church. We will also travel to other planting locations to maintain other past planting sites. SAT APR 14 ANDREWS RAID LECTURE 7:30 pm. The lecture is being presented in partnership with the Kennesaw Historical Society and local historian, Michael K. Shaffer on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. outside at the Underpass Amphitheater at the Depot in Downtown Kennesaw, 2829 Cherokee Street. The Lecture will be moved inside The Southern Museum in case of inclement weather. This is a paid event – cash only at site, credit at Museum. Adults are $7.50, Seniors (60+) are $6.50, Children (ages 4 – 12) are $5.50. Event is FREE for Museum and Kennesaw Historical Society members.
