EASTER SUNRISE SERVICES… MORE EGG HUNTS

Published March 30, 2018:  Celebrate this Easter weekend by attending Easter Sunrise Services on Sunday, while hunting for that last Easter Egg on Friday or Saturday.

Celebrate Life Anew This Easter

We are reminded this time of year of the miracle of life. As nature seems to awaken around us, we experience a renewed sense of joy and possibility. Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery invite you to attend their 27th annual Easter celebration at Pine Ridge Memorial Park. Services will be held by Dr. Perry Fowler, pastor of Kennesaw First Baptist Church. A dove and prayer balloon release will be held. Be sure to dress warm and comfortable. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Pine Ridge Memorial Park is located at 2950 North Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw, GA This Sunrise Service will be held on Sunday, April 1st at 6:45 am.

Annual Sunrise Service at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

Lift your spirit in fellowship, celebration and praise as the sun rises over the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield! The Kiwanis Club of Marietta and The Rotary Club of Marietta invite all members of the community to join them Easter Sunday for the Annual Community Sunrise Service at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. The Community Sunrise Service will be led by Rev. Joe Evans, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Marietta. The Salvation Army will be serving coffee and hot chocolate prior to the service.

Attendees should bring their own chair or blanket for seating on the lawn in front of the Battlefield Visitor’s Center. Parking assistance and flashlight escorts will be available beginning at 6:00 a.m. to help attendees make their way to the service. Casual attire is welcome. Handicapped parking and drop off for guests who require assistance will be available. The Park is located at 900 Kennesaw Mountain Drive, Kennesaw, GA, 30152 and the service will be held from 7:00am until 8:00am.

SUMMIT BAPTIST CHURCH FLASHLIGHT EGG HUNT

Join us at Summit Baptist Church on March 30th, 2018 6:00pm-8:30pm for our 2nd Annual Flashlight Egg Hunt!  Egg hunts, games, inflatables, face painting and a Special Children’s Message It’s FREE!! Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop

Bring the whole family out for the 9th Annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop presented by Superior Plumbing & C&S Paving, Inc. and get ready as more than 90,000 eggs and pieces of candy are spread out and dropped from a helicopter at the football fields at Sprayberry High School on March 31, 2018!

The event begins at 10 a.m., and in addition to gathering up all the eggs, there will be candy and an interactive Kid Zone with inflatable slides and bounce houses for the toddlers and the older thrill seekers alike, unlimited rides can be purchased for only $7 per child. Also plan to have your photo taken for free with the Easter Bunny & capture the memories for a lifetime, courtesy of Three-13 Salon, Spa & Boutique.

The Egg Hunts will get started around the football field at 11:30 a.m., as children ages three and under will begin their egg hunt. At 1:30 p.m., a helicopter will fly over and drop thousands of eggs for the four to seven year olds to hunt. At 2:00 p.m., C&S Paving will be sponsoring the special needs egg hunts held in the end zone directly following each hunt, and at, 3:30 p.m., the children eight to 10, will begin the final hunt. Toddler hunts for the small children will be held at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m., in the food court area sponsored by Children’s Health Care of Atlanta.

The 2018 Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop will be held on March 31st, 10 AM – 5 PM at Sprayberry High School football field located at (2525 Sandy Plains Rd, Marietta, GA 30066).
