SUPERIOR PLUMBING PRESENTS THE 2019 NORTH GEORGIA STATE FAIR

The 87th Annual Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair begins Thursday, Sept. 19, – Sunday, Sept 29, 2019 at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Rd., Marietta.  The fair grounds will be open Monday through Thursday 4 to 11 p.m., Fridays 4 p.m. to midnight Saturdays 10 a.m., to midnight, and Sundays 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the North Georgia State Fair attracts 300,000 people every year from north Georgia and neighboring states. The Fair features live music, free attractions and shows, farm animals, flower shows, blue ribbon competitions, local entertainment, and delicious fair foods. There are also games and rides on the Great James H. Drew Exposition midway– one of the largest carnival Midways in the United States, featuring the Wildcat Rollercoaster, Georgia Mountain Lift and the Mega Slide.

Free Concerts
A covered arena guarantees concerts rain or shine, including appearances by great country and contemporary Christian artists. Headlining the Carl Black Kennesaw Concert Series this year are: Jeremy Camp on Friday, September 20; Mitchell Tenpenny on Saturday, September 21; Lee Brice on Wednesday, September 25; Tyler Farr on Thursday, September 26; Lanco on Friday, September 27; Caleb Lee Hutchinson opening for Travis Denning on Saturday, September 28. Concerts FREE with fair admission.

New for 2019

K-9’s in Flight: Audiences of all ages will be entertained by this non-stop, action-packed performance showcasing the top amazing K-9 sports, including K-9 high jump and Frisbee all in a fun, high-flying atmosphere.
King BMX Stunt Show: This BMX Stunt Show is proven entertainment for kids & adults alike. Performance features high-flying aerial stunts and mind-boggling technical moves.
Ninja Experience: This amazing team of martial arts experts has been wowing audiences around the world with high-flying, jaw-dropping performances that showcase an extraordinary display of extreme breaking and theatrics. This team has been featured on America’s Got Talent and will bring you a show like you’ve never seen before!
Sandscapes: This is performance art the whole family will enjoy. You will want to bring the whole family back again and again as the Sandscapes sculptors transform 50 tons of sand into a specially-themed work of art throughout the run of the fair.

FAN FAVORITES RETURNING FOR 2019

Robo-Cars: One of the most unique and entertaining acts you will see. These real life Transformers will be cruising, dancing, and transforming daily.
Robinson’s Racing Pigs & Paddling Porkers – Come cheer on the funniest racing experience ever! Pig racing gets even better when celebrities like Britney Spareribs and Lindsay Slowham are vying for the coveted Oreo prize. These porkers will race and swim straight to the top of your most fun list!
Lady Houdini– Kristen Johnson is no “lovely” magician’s assistant. She’s Lady Houdini, an escape artist who has successfully performed thousands of public feats and broken Harry Houdini’s record for the most water escapes ever. She is currently the only female anywhere in the world attempting the water torture cell.

Eudora Farms Exotic Petting Zoo– Experience an interactive, hands-on exotic animal petting zoo. It includes 20 to 25 rare and exotic animals from around the world. See a wallaby, a zebra, a lemur and have a chance to ride a camel. Make sure to visit Elliott, a 14-foot tall giraffe! This is an experience the whole family won’t soon forget.
Brian Ruth “Master of the Chainsaw” – Will be back to transform raw logs into true works of art with only a chainsaw.

ADMISSION

Gate Admission: $7.00 admission. Children 10 and under are free. Ride tickets are $1.25 each, $20.00 for 21 tickets, $50.00 for 55 tickets and $100 for 120 tickets. All rides require more than one ticket. Parking is $5. Concerts FREE with fair admission. ATM machines are located on the midway.

NON-COMMERCIAL EXHIBITS

There was a time, in the not too distant past that ladies (and gentlemen) spent the entire year creating needlework, wood work, baking that special dessert and more so they could enter their creations in the Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair. Well you still can. Entries for Non-Commercial Exhibits will be accepted on Saturday, September 14 from 12 till 6pm and Sunday, September 15 from 1-5 pm. Baked Goods will be accepted o n Wednesday September 18 from 2-8 pm. There are special categories for youth competition, however students may not enter adult competitions. Categories include needlework, quilting, sewing, crafts,, Creative arts, Photography, Christmas theme, Food Preservation, Aspiring Artist. Exhibitors may enter as many classes as they wish, but only one entry per class. Exhibits must be the work of the exhibitor and must have been completed within the last 12 months before September 2019.
