A ribbon cutting ceremony on April 23 marked the completion of three trails, the Kennesaw First Baptist Church Trail, Whispering Lake Trail and Matlock Trail. These trails link with the Deerfield and Winchester Forest trails, connecting several subdivisions. The crushed stone and bare earth trails pass through neighborhood parks and are great for walking and bicycling.
“This trail system gives residents another option for exercise and recreation,” said Doug Taylor, Parks & Recreation Department director. “It’s another way we’re always working hard to improve the quality of life for our citizens. I’d like to acknowledge the hard work of our staff who did a great job making the trail inviting and functional. ”
