Disaster Relief Truck at Post 304 on Friday Oct 4

DISASTER RELIEF TRUCK AT THE POST 304 THIS FRIDAY, OCT 4 FROM 11:00 til 5:00 pm

The Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304 is partnering with the 9/11 Memorial Ride Foundation to provide relief supplies to the hardest hit area from Hurricane Helene – Asheville NC.  According to all reports Asheville suffered losses, including lives, more than just about any other location where the storm landed.

On Friday, October 4, from 11am to 5pm, Post 304 has a 26′ box truck to load with supplies that will be taken up to the Asheville Police Department for distribution. The list of needed supplies is below. The truck will be parked at the Post, which is located at 4220 S. Main St. in Acworth.

SPECIAL REQUEST!!. NC EMS departments are requesting Benadryl (both chewable and capsule) as well as Epipens.  Apparently, there is a large population of bees that have been stirred up by the weather events.

IF YOU WANT TO DROP ITEMS OFF EARLY – if you cannot make it between the hours listed for Friday, you can drop items off early in the Assembly Hall at the Post today and tomorrow during regular business hours.

IF YOU WANT TO DONATE – if you would like to donate money which we will then use to make purchases Friday morning, you can do so by CLICKING HERE  This link takes you to the 9/11 Memorial Ride donation page.  ALL funds collected during this time will be specifically assigned to this operation only.
