On Sunday October 14th, there is Community Chalk Competition on East Park Square for those who would like to try their chalk skills. There are divisions for adults, teens, and youth (ages 6+), plus a separate category for school teams.  Chalking starts at 11:00am and prizes will be awarded at 3:45pm. Please see for complete details.

October 14th also features the Creative Kids Activity Zone. From 11:00am-5:00pm kids of all ages can enjoy face painting, crafts, and making slime. Proceeds benefit MCMA’s art education programs.

We are also seeking volunteers to help with this award-winning festival.  It takes hundreds of hands to make this festival a fun reality.  We need people to help with set up, take down, face painting, kid’s crafts, and much more.  Please contact Jennifer Fox at if you would like to volunteer.

All in all, it’s shaping up to be another wonderful weekend.  We would be delighted to have you join us!
