Trains, Trains, Trains will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, and Sunday, January 28, at the Southern Museum, 2829 Cherokee Street, Kennesaw, GA. Make plans to attend the eighth annual Trains, Trains, Trains presented by Dixie Precast this weekend!
Bigger and better than ever, the Museum has pulled out all the stops for two incredible, fun-filled days of family oriented activities. “Model trains are a wonderful way to bring families together,” remarks Dr. Richard Banz, executive director of the Southern Museum, “Each year we see many repeat families, many of whom stay and enjoy the event for the greater part of the day.”
This year’s Trains, Trains, Trains! will include model railroad layouts of different scales and gauges from regional groups including North Georgia Tinplate Trackers, Athens Bend Track, North Georgia Garden Railroad Society, and more! Don’t miss Trains, Trains, Trains! There will be as many as 10 model train layouts, including several that children can operate, take-home crafts, a LEGO Play & Build area, live bluegrass music, and more!
LEGO Layout Returns!
DixieLUG LEGO® User Group returns with their extremely popular Lego model train layout. Don’t miss one of the most popular train layouts of this event! This model train layout, built entirely of LEGO bricks, even features a LEGO General locomotive! Alongside the layout, junior locomotive builders can test their skill in a LEGO Play & Build area.
With over 25,000 square feet of intricate and elaborate train layouts for train enthusiasts, exhibits, and interactive activities, the whole family can enjoy this extraordinary event while making memories that last a lifetime.
An expanded Museum Gift Shop will offer new train items, lots of children’s books, and exquisite, new-to-the-museum gifts, toys, and collectibles, perfect for the train enthusiasts, kids, and fans of history!

Ride the shuttle from Adam’s Park and you will be entered into a drawing for a Bigjigs rail figure eight 40-piece train set. Shuttle will run continuously from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. Shuttle picks up at Adams park 2600 Park Dr, Kennesaw, GA 30144. This is a $50 Value
