Once in a while, a particular day of the month is the one everyone choses to host their special event. This month it is Saturday September 18. Sometimes I wish I were triplets. Enjoy.

OAK SANCTUARY Sound Sessions
Why Would You Book a Sound Session?
In your very busy and stressful life, you may be seeking natural ways to unwind and relax. You might find meditation challenging and taking the time for self-care seems elusive. A sound session calms the nervous system, shifts your brainwaves (think alpha and beta states of the brain), helps you reach a meditative state, feel less anxious, and may even help with pain.
What Is a Sound Session?
A sound session or “bathing” is much more than just a sound experience, though a lot of it is just that. A sound session begins with setting an intention and getting relaxed and comfortable while lying down on a mat. It continues by opening and clearing the energy centers of the body (the chakras). A diagnostic is done to determine areas of low or unbalanced energy in the body and then addressed. These can include injuries, aches, pains, unbalanced energy centers, and more. Then the fun part! Bowls are placed on and around the body and played in patterns so that vibration and sound surround and wash over the body. The vibrations help balance and release energies in the body and can help with relaxation and calming the mind. Practioner Patty Wallenburg demonstrates the bowls used in a sound session.
