SANTA IS ON HIS WAY – TO MARIETTA, ACWORTH, KENNESAW

Santa is on his way to visit our communities of Marietta, Acworth and Kennesaw.  Three days of fun and excitement are planned by our three cities.  Bring the kids, enjoy the season on one of these days, or all three!

SANTA ARRIVES AT THE SQUARE – THURSDAY, DEC. 5

The City of Marietta’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting and visit from Santa is planned for Thursday, Dec. 5. The fun begins at 4:00 pm with performances by local schools and church choirs. Santa’s arrival is planned for 5:15 pm aboard a Marietta fire-truck. He will make his grand entrance to help the Mayor and the city of Marietta light the tree! Let the Christmas season begin. Don’t miss the UGLY Sweater walking parade that starts about 4:45. The tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6:00 pm. Through out the evening children will have the opportunity to write their letter to Santa and music will be heard through out the park as the school choruses perform.

Acworth’s Santa’s Arrives on  Friday, December 6

The City of Acworth, along with their partner NorthStar Church is excited to host this year’s Santa’s Arrival!  Santa arrives in Historic Downtown Acworth on  Friday, December 6, 2024.  Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m. (I wonder if he will slide down the chimney at city hall).  There will be a host of live performances and activities until 8:30 p.m. to help Santa kick off the holiday season. Bring the entire family to hear Mayor Tommy Allegood read The Night Before Christmas and watch the lighting of the tree on the Plaza behind Henry’s.  Enjoy pictures with Mr. Claus, eating candy canes with all his elves, and filling the streets with the holiday spirit. Pictures with Santa are free each year and begin at 6:45 p.m.  There will not be a photographer onsite, so please plan on bringing your camera to capture the special moment.
