The Osher Lifelong Learning Instute (OLLI) welcomed friends and guests at the annual “Donuts and Notes” holiday party on Friday, December 6 at the KSU Continuing Education Center.  A large group of attendees enjoyed Christmas music presented by the Big Shanty Elementary School 4th and 5th grade choir directed by  Erika Brown, Jeni Michelson of the Society Express Band, and the Song of Atlanta Show Chorus directed by Becky Hine while munching from an enticing array of donuts and coffee.

He told this reporter, some of them spotted his ring from the Korean War Memorial in DC and asked about it. He said they were very grateful for what the United States had done to help Korea.

Master of Ceremonies Michelle Girage, assistant dean of Continuing Education, kept the meeting fast-paced and lively. Guests also perused an art show of works created by students in OLLI classes which was set up in the lobby. Pieces from classes in watercolor, oil painting, pen & ink drawing and photography were displayed, and many were available to purchase.

The next OLLI social is scheduled for February 17 and will feature a celebration of Chinese New Year. Visit www.ksuolli.com for more information on OLLI courses and events.
