Our community has dozens of events planned for celebrating our Holidays, Tree lightings, parades, Breakfasts with Santa, Concerts, and we have gathered them here for your to choose. NOW- SAT DEC 15 HOLIDAY MARKET AT THE ART STATION – The Holiday Market offers unique, handcrafted items from over forty local artists.Guests can locally shop for a wide variety of items, including jewelry, ornaments, jams, pottery, and more. Monday-Thursday: 10:00AM-7:00PM and Friday-Saturday: 10:00AM-5:00PM
THURS NOV 29 MARIETTA WELCOMED SANTA – The City of Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in conjunction with the arrival of Santa Claus on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The Christmas Cheer begins at 4:00pm on Thursday, November 29th with performances by local school choruses. Santa makes his grand entrance via a City of Marietta firetruck at 5:20pm followed by the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree at 6pm.
THURS NOV 29-SUN DEC 2 THE NUTCRACKER BY GEORGIA BALLET at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre and includes a sensory friendly performance. SAT DEC 1 – HOG HOSTS BREAKFAST WITH SANTA. HOG Hosts their 6th Annual Photos with Santa Breakfast at O’Charley’s in Acworth on December 1st for a Photo-shoot with Santa Claus from 7:30-10:00 AM. SAT DEC 1 – Day with Santa
Parade CANCELLED, Day with Santa has been moved to Ben Robertson Community Center
The City of Kennesaw has cancelled the Parade due to inclement weather – however the City is moving as many Day With Santa activities to the Ben Robertson Community Center on Sat Dec 1. The fun begins at noon and will run until four. Bring the kids for Christmas Crafts, Holiday Entertainment and of course a visit with Santa with FREE PHOTOS. SAT DEC 1 ACWORTH ARTS ALLIANCE CHRISTMAS PARTY. The public is invited to attend from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Come create your own Christmas Ornament. 4425 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA 30101, at the corner of Taylor St.
SAT DEC 1 GSO HOLIDAY POPS CONCERT: 3 AND 8 PM. The Georgia Symphony Orchestra, the GSO Chorus, and the Georgia Youth Symphony Chorus present a merry collection of traditional holiday tunes and cherished classical music. A delightful new addition this year will be the winner of the first ever GSO Holiday Pops Star singing competition in a performance sure to fill your heart with joy. SUN & MON DEC 2 & 3 CAROL’S BY CANDLELIGHT Presented by the First Baptist Church Marietta, the Worship Arts Ministry (Worship Choir and First Orchestra) has annually helped start the Christmas season with beautiful and inspirational music. TUES DEC 4 – MENORAH LIGHTING CEREMONY ACWORTH – The City of Acworth invites everyone to our annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m. This will be the third night of Hanukkah. The Menorah is located at the corner of Cowan Road and Main Street in Downtown Acworth. Rabbi Zalman Charytan from the Chabad Jewish Center will officiate the lighting with Mayor Tommy Allegood assisting.
