AND THE WALLS CAME TUMBLING DOWN
Many have asked about the removal of homes and businesses along Summer Street, Cobb Parkway and in between. Hopefully this will provide some answers.
Enriched with a historical past, SchoolHouse Village™ is a mixed-use development that will transform downtown Kennesaw and be a central gathering venue for this vibrant community. “Kennesaw is our home,” said Sanctuary Companies CEO Chad Howie. “This is an exciting development for the new residents and neighbors alike to be able to enjoy a night out, eat, drink and socialize, all within the Entertainment District.
Upon completion, SchoolHouse Village™will offer over 80,000 square feet of restaurants, a brewery, and retail and office space, and 56 state-of-the-art townhomes. SchoolHouse Village™will transform downtown Kennesaw, create a thriving city-center, and provide a central gathering place and entertainment district for this vibrant community, similar to the transformation now being enjoyed by the cities of Woodstock, Alpharetta and Roswell
Located on the site of the original Kennesaw School at the intersection of Keene Street, School Drive and Burrell Drive, SchoolHouse Village™will blend old and new seamlessly. To create this new downtown district,part of the original Kennesaw School building was razed. Built in 1890, the original building was lost in a fire, but it rose from the ashes in a 1932 rebuild. Additions serving an increasing student population were added through the years, but the School eventually was closed in 2017. The Library structure will be preserved as a foundation for SchoolHouse Village™.

ART AND FURNITURE SALE THROUGH FEB 22 – SIMMERTIME CAFE AND ART GALLERY IS CLOSING
It makes me sad to have to write this, but Simmertime Cafe and Art Gallery is closing. Another victim of the pandemic. Nancy Booth and her daughter, Danielle, thank everyone in our community for their patronage and support over the last four years.
They are sharing that they are hosting an Art and Furniture Sale through the month of February until Feb. 22. They are open 10-2 Tuesday-Sunday
Drop by and say goodbye. Take a look at what is available for sale — not only does this include the paintings,sculptures, and handcrafted jewelry, but also includes their very unique tables.
Simmertime Cafe is located on the corner of Dallas and Highway 293, across from the First Baptist Church!

What do you get when you mix a divorce with your dreams and your talents? You get a brand new business that is brave enough to open in the middle of a pandemic!
Eatin Fresh Kennesaw was founded by Courtney Eaton Brennan after she moved back to Kennesaw to be with her family following a surprise divorce. Courtney has always had a passion for the kitchen and even went as far as to try out for MasterChef in New York City. It wasn’t until her life took a dramatic turn that she found the courage to pursue her dreams…. and now our community is blessed with Eatin Fresh Kennesaw.
Who knew when we were little that the biggest most difficult thing we would have to do it adult to figure out what to have for dinner and what to feed our family? That’s where Eatin Fresh comes in. They have weekly menus – place your order by Friday and you can order an entire weeks worth of meals for pick up at her new location at 3032 Cemetery Street right next to the Horned Owl Brewery. If you live in Legacy Park or Revival on Main delivery is available.

We are moving forward on building out our Apotheos Coffeehouse concept on Main Street in Downtown Kennesaw!
Our coffeehouse will be in the old WhistleStop Café building and will also feature Common Grounds Plaza on the corner of Main Street and JO Stephenson Ave. Joining us on the corner of Main and Stephenson will also be Dry County’s Taproom!
Our coffeehouse concept will feature traditional coffeehouse work and lounging areas, an expertly crafted menu of breakfast and brunch items (all paired to our coffees), as well as nightly desserts provided by Gabriel’s of Marietta paired with our one-of-a-kind coffee cocktails!
