SAT JULY 22, SOUTHERN MUSEUM – RAILROAD RENDEZVOUS A variety of activities celebrating the railroad and other industrial enterprises will be taking place throughout the day. Activities include an outdoor model train layout, small tractor display, blacksmithing demonstration, historic printing press demonstrations, a quilting display and an interactive model train display. FRI AND SAT. AUG 18 & 19 KENNESAW’S PIGS AND PEACHES FESTIVAL = the festival features two days of non-stop music, good eats, cold beer and interactive family fun. Attendees will find over 100 vendors, exhibitor and contestant booths, a Kid Zone full of inflatables, amusements and attractions, tons of tasty treats to satisfy every whim, and an incredible lineup of live entertainment and street performers. LABOR DAY WEEKEND – ART IN THE PARK The 37th-annual Art in the Park in historic Marietta Square promises to be the best year yet with a larger footprint and 200 artists. Festival favorites like the Chalk Spot, Children’s Art Alley and live music will return for three days of family-friendly outdoor fun. LABOR DAY WEEKEND – Georgia Country Music Fest is coming to Marietta Labor Day weekend. GCMF will spotlight country music with an emphasis on red dirt country. Artists slated to perform throughout the weekend include Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Jinks, Koe Wetzel, and Jamey Johnson along with 30+ national, regional, and local artists. Georgia Country Music Fest will take place at the Jim R. Miller Park – North Georgia’s State Fair Grounds, over Labor Day weekend. SEPT 21-OCT 1 NORTH GEORGIA STATE FAIR – As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the Superior Plumbing presents North Georgia State Fair attracts over 365,000 people every year from north Georgia and neighboring states.
