FREE COMMUNITY SPOOKTACULAR AT NORTHWEST FAMILY YMCA – FRIDAY OCTOBER 19
The public is invited to attend the FREE SPOOKTACULAR community event on Friday October 19, from 6-8 pm. Wear your costume and bring your trick-or-treat bag. Come enjoy face painting, carnival games, creepy crafts, refreshments, a spooky trail and our Monster Mash Dance Party. The YMCA is located at 1700 Dennis Kemp Ln, Kennesaw, 30152
HARVESTFEST ON MARIETTA SQUARE
Mark your calendars to attend the City of Marietta’s 42nd Annual HarvestFest on the Historic Marietta Square on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9am – 5pm. Sponsored by Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department, this annual festival full of activities for all ages. It includes Halloween Happenings from 1pm-5pm which is an event for children ages 12 and younger and includes carnival games, kid-friendly activities, and a costume contest for pets and children 12 and under. The winners of the Scarecrows on the Square competition will be announced at 1:45pm.
The Harvest Square Festival will have exhibits including painting, pottery, woodworking, jewelry and many other types of crafts. Admission is free, and there will be games and activities for the entire family. Schedule of Events: 9am – 5pm – HarvestFest Arts & Crafts; 10am – 2pm – Kids’ Touch a Truck; 1pm – 5pm – Halloween Happenings; 1:45pm – Scarecrows on the Square winners announced; 2:00pm – Children’s Costume Contest begins; 3:00pm – Pet Costume Contest begins.
SIMMERTIME CAFE HALLOWEEN FOR THE BIG KIDS
Simmertime Cafe and Art Gallery is hosting a Halloween Party on Saturday, October 20 from 8:00 pm until 12:00 pm. Come dressed as your in your favorite costume for the costume contest. Tell your favorite ghost story. Lots of food and BYOB. The fee is $20 a person – and this is a night out without kids. Simmertime comes complete with its one roaring, smoking breathing dragon. ACWORTH’S HALLOWEEN JAMBOOREE
Come out to Logan Farm Park Expansion for a spooky good time! The event will be held on Saturday, October 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the large field in front of the new playground. For a minimal charge, each child can participate in many different carnival type games and activities where they can win candy and prizes. Costume contests, broken up into varying age groups, will be going on throughout the event! There will also be a FREE hayride and petting zoo! Parking can be found at Logan Farm Park (both the Administrative Office and Main Entrances), Rosenwald School, and the corner of Taylor Street and Southside Drive. COBB COUNTY PARKS FALL FESTIVAL
Cobb PARKS, along with Cobb County Public Safety and Safe Kids Cobb County, are hosting the 19th Annual Fall Festival of Fun on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at Jim Miller Park. The event will begin at 4:30pm and end at 7:30pm. This event will provide the children of Cobb County a safe alternative to the traditional Trick-or-Treat in their neighborhoods.
The festival will include arts and crafts, games, inflatable rides, police and fire activities, costume dance contests for kids and adults, coloring contests, a photo booth and other surprises. Parking, entrance to the park, games, candy and contests are free (there is a fee for concessions and inflatable rides). Come wearing your Halloween costume and be sure to bring a bag to carry all of your candy!
