EASTER EGG HUNTS AND SUNRISE SERVICES

Our community of Acworth, Kennesaw and Marietta have egg hunts, breakfasts with the Easter bunny, an egg drop and Sunrise Services planned to celebrate Easter.  They are listed below.

EASTER EVENTS FOR THE KIDS

FRI APR 7 – ACWORTH EASTER EGG HUNT – The City of Acworth and Freedom Church would like to invite your family to experience an egg hunt like you’ve never seen before! The event will take place at the Acworth Sports Complex, located at 4000 South Main St. The egg hunt will be held on the baseball fields. We will have gates and concessions opening at 6:30 p.m., and the first hunt begins at 7:30 p.m., so make sure you arrive early. For additional information on this event or to volunteer, please visit www.acworthegghunt.

FRI APR 7 – EASTER EGG SCRAMBLE MARIETTA – Children 10 and under are invited to attend this event and will be divided into three age groups for the hunt: 3 and under, 4-6, and 7-10 years old.  Additionally, the Easter Bunny will be available for photographs after the Egg Scramble.  The event is free, and the public is encouraged to arrive early to find your child’s correct age group. SAT APR 8 – BREAKFAST WITH THE EASTER BUNNY – Treat your family to a buffet including hot and ready pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage as well as a medley of fresh fruit and delicious breakfast sweets. Seatings are available at 8 am and 10 am at the Ben Robertson Community Center. Tickets can be purchased online at or at the Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive. Advance purchase is required. SAT APR 8 – EASTER BUNNY BREAKFAST MARIETTA – The City of Marietta’s Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce it will host a special Breakfast with the Easter Bunny 10am – 12pm at the Custer Park Sports and Fitness Center located at 545 Kenneth E. Marcus Way, Marietta, GA 30060. $8 for City residents, $5 for fit-pass holders, and $10 for non-City residents. SAT APR 15 – SMITH GILBERT GARDENS EASTER EGG HUNT – Smith-Gilbert Gardens will hold its 3rd annual Easter Egg Hunt from 10 am – 2 pm. The ticket price includes garden admission, one egg hunt ticket based on the child’s age, games and crafts, and an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny; pre-registration for the egg hunts is required. SAT APR 15 NORTHEAST COBB COMMUNITY EGG DROP 10-5. Plan to join us for the 8th Annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop.  There will fun, food, games, DJ, activities, and of course egg hunts for everyone.  Kids will marvel as a helicopter drops thousands of eggs onto the Sprayberry High School football field to kick-off the hunt.   There will be more than 90,000 eggs and candy for the various hunts. The funds raised from the Egg Drop go to support both the Shop with a Yellow Jacket and the Shop with a Longhorn programs for Sprayberry and Kell High Schools.  Last year more than $4,000 went right back in to the community from the event. SUNRISE SERVICES ON EASTER

SUN APR 16  The Kiwanis Club of Marietta and The Rotary Club of Marietta invite all members of the community to join them Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, for the Annual Community Sunrise Service at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.  The Park is located at 900 Kennesaw Mountain Drive, Kennesaw, GA, 30152 and the service will be held from 7:00am until 8:00am.

Lift your spirit in fellowship, celebration and praise as the sun rises over the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield! The Community Sunrise Service will be led by Eastside Baptist Church’s Senior Pastor, Dr. John D. Hull, accompanied by Eastside Baptist’s Musical Ensemble.  The Salvation Army will be serving coffee and hot chocolate prior to the service.

Attendees should bring their own chair or blanket for seating on the lawn in front of the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Visitor’s Center.  Parking assistance and flashlight escorts will be available beginning at 6:00 a.m. to help attendees make their way to the service. Casual attire is welcome. Handicapped parking and drop off for guests who require assistance will be available.

SUN APR 16 – EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE – Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery, 1306 Whitlock Ave NW Marietta,  will host their annual Easter Sunrise service on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 7:00am. Officiating the service will be Pastor Timothy Wrenn of Christ Lutheran Church in Marietta. Guests are encouraged to dress warmly and comfortably. For more information call 770-428-0502

SUN APR 16 – EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE – Winkenhofer PineRidge Funeral Home and Cemetery invite the public to attend their annual Easter Sunrise Service beginning at 6:45am. Dr Perry Fowler, Kennesaw First Baptist will provide the services.  A dove and prayer balloon release will take place.  Dress warm and feel free to bring a blanket or a lawn chair
