2020 BIG SHANTY FESTIVAL – SAT AND SUN NOV. 7 & 8

Seven months later, the Kennesaw Business Association is hosting the 44th annual Superior Plumbing Big Shanty Festival on Nov. 7 & 8.  Our children have returned to school (some have elected to still use virtual learning), we are cautiously stepping out and enjoying life again.  What better way than to attend this weekend’s Superior Plumbing Big Shanty Festival.  See you there, wear a mask!Normally held in April, this year’s event was put on hold because of the virus. BSF Chairman, Marlon Longacre says, “I am very excited and grateful to the City of Kennesaw and their faith  in us to put on this event! Big Shanty Festival has a long standing tradition of being a great family event and we our ready to do our best to make this year’s event the best of all!”

The Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival features over 150 Arts & Crafts booths, 25 food booths, one entertainment stage, as well as live acoustic music in the new Food Court throughout the weekend. For our football lovers, the Georgia/Florida game will be shown on the mega screen in the Plaza on Main Street at 3:30.  Something for the entire family!

The health and safety of those who visit the Superior Plumbing Big Shanty Festival is our top priority. We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our visitors, and our staff. Here’s what we are doing to keep you safe: Event staff members required to utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Event staff members to wash hands prior to starting their shift and at frequent intervals in between tasks. Event staff members to undergo screening, including a temperature check, upon arrival to event facility. Food to be handled with plastic utensils to minimize touch points by staff members. Multiple hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the festival. Superior Plumbing Big Shanty Festival will follow all social distancing guidelines provided by local & state officials. Because of the need to social distance, we will not have a parade this year. Admission and Parking are free.
