Pioneer Days are just around the corner, just up the road at Sam Smith Park on Douthit Ferry Rd in Cartersville. The dates this year are August 30, 31 & September 1, & 2, 2019. Fireworks will be Sunday night at 9:30 PM. Please come out and support Allatoona Charities on Sunday Night, as Pioneer Days puts on a great firework Show. This is four days of arts & crafts, Peachtree Rides & Games for all ages, and Labor Day Fireworks (Sunday only) at dusk hosted by Allatoona Charities. Allatoona Charities was organized in 1982, to help the needy in our community. It was in Acworth for 30 years and we outgrew our location. This is our 39 Annual Pioneer Days Craft Festival. Pioneer Days moved to Sam Smith Park in Cartersville in 2010. The venue is great for Pioneer Days, we have plenty of room. We are being told by participants that this has become an annual tradition for their family.
Pioneer Days has Peachtree rides and they will have about 30 rides, games and carnival food. In addition visitors can shop our many crafts booths and enjoy all types of food.
Allatoona Charities loves giving back to the community. Everyone that works Pioneer Days does not receive any wages. It is all volunteer, which gives us more profit to go back into the surrounding community
Pioneer Days raised enough money last year o give five $1000.00 scholarships to Cartersville High School. They support the Battered Women and Children Shelter in Cartersville and a Children’s home in Emerson Ga.
