harrisonHarrison High School Marching Band IN MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE

For the past 89 years The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a spectacle of floats, pageantry, and marching bands viewed by 3.5 million people live and 50 million people on television, has been a staple in households across America. This year is going to be even more exciting as Cobb County, Georgia will be represented by one of our own, the Harrison High School Marching Band. This is an honor only given to 10 bands each year!

The students at Harrison work extremely hard each year, putting in 25-30 practice hours a week in addition to academic, work and volunteer schedules, and this year is no exception. Their talent and dedication are testament to the many awards and honors they’ve received, including the recent title of “Bands of America Regional Champions” and “McEachern Marching Invitational Grand Champions”.  If you would like to follow their journey you can find their Band Booster’s page on Facebook.com/harrisonbandfans. Support is also needed for the band financially, and in the spirit of fundraising, a You Caring page has been created: https://www.youcaring.com/harrison-high-school-marching-band-569816. No donation is too little, is tax deductible, and very much appreciated!

Please join us and support our very own Harrison Marching Band as they represent our community and don’t forget to tune in and watch them as they perform in the 90th annual Macy’s Day Parade on November 24 in New York City!”
