It’s my favorite time of the year. The 2024 North Georgia State Fair starts September 19 for ten days at Jim R. Miller Park, Marietta. A great family affair with free attractions, rides, entertainment and much more.
SUPERIOR PLUMBING PRESENTS 2024 NORTH GEORGIA STATE FAIR

As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the Superior Plumbing presents North Georgia State Fair attracts over 300,000 people every year from north Georgia and neighboring states. The fair features free attractions and shows, farm animals, flower shows, blue ribbon competitions, local entertainment, and delicious fair foods. PLUS there are games and rides on the Great James H. Drew Exposition midway– one of the largest carnival midways in the United States, featuring the Wildcat Rollercoaster, Georgia Mountain Lift, and the Mega Slide.

Grandstand Entertainment: A covered arena guarantees Carriage KIA Grandstand Entertainment rain or shine, including Piccolo Zoppe Circus, Thursday September 19 thru Monday September 23; Demolition Derby, Wednesday September 25: Full Throttle Monster Trucks, Thursday September 26: American Bull Riders Tour, Friday September 27 thru Sunday, September 29. All Grand Stand Entertainment is FREE with fair admission. Visit us Monday through Thursday 4 to 11 p.m., Fridays 4 p.m. to midnight; Saturdays 10 a.m.- midnight, and Sundays 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Gate Admission: $10.00 admission. Children 10 and under are always free. Ride tickets are $1.25 each, $20.00 for 21 tickets, $50.00 for 55 tickets and $100 for 120 tickets. All rides require more than one ticket. Parking is $5. Carriage KIA Grandstand Entertainment FREE with fair admission. ATM machines are located throughout the fairgrounds. Come hungry, is my only suggestion. Fabulous fair food abounds including time honored Funnel cakes, elephant ears, deep fried Oreos, all to be washed down with thirst quenching lemonade. But wait, before you indulge in favorite fair food you may want to try one or all of our new food for 2024. How about a selection of egg rolls from Egg Roll Boys, or a street taco or two from our very own Tacos Del Chavo (based in Kennesaw). Be sure to check out Settlers Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Loaded Tater Tots, Grilled PB&J, Fluffer Nutter oh and they serve sweet and unsweet tea, frozen tea, frozen lemonade and the best Arnold Palmer’s.
The best of the best is Charles Hanson and his made from scratch corndogs, served with a side of cotton candy — have enjoyed one of his corn dogs every time I see him – and that’s a lot of corn dogs! Charles also serves Snow Cones, Popcorn, , Candy/Caramel Apples, Apple Slices, Soft Frozen Strawberry Lemonade, Lemonade, Iced Tea. Charles is a staple of the NGSF! THE REAL PURPOSE OF THE FAIR – NGSF NON-COMMERCIAL COMPETITIONS
The 1955 Cobb County Fair Premium catalogue stated – “The real purpose of the fair is to bring together for display, the best livestock, agriculture and home products made and grown the county.”Today the fair is the North Georgia State Fair, livestock and agriculture have almost become things of the past but the artistic and gardening talents of area residents will still be presented in the non-commercial exhibits in the 2024 Fair.
Non-commercial competitive divisions include needlework, sewing, and handicrafts which include jewelry, toys and woodworking. Creative arts such as basketry, an expanded photography division, oil painting, watercolors and other media as well as ceramics woodcarving and sculpture are displayed along with food products in the agriculture/horticulture area. Food preservation, canning, drying and preserving vie for honors along with baked goods by entrants of all ages. The popular Christmas corner continues to grow and an expanded quilting division promises added incentives for quilters.
2024 FAIR POLICIES
Youth Attendance and Gate Entry Policy: After 6:00pm each day, no individual under the age of 17 will be allowed admission without a parent. For all attendees. No Fair Entry Sun-Thurs After 9:00pm, and Fri-Sat After 10:00pm
Clear Bag Policy:
Clear Bags may not exceed 12”x6”x12”. One-gallon resealable clear plastic freezer bags and small clutch purses no larger than 4.5”x 6.5” are also permitted. Diaper bags are allowed, but will be searched and tagged.

ENTRANCE TO FAIR PARKING on Callaway Road is not accessible to Fair goers. Traffic from Powder Springs Road and Austell Road will be directed to County Services Parkway for access to the fair parking lots.
