SUPERIOR PLUMBING PRESENTS THE 2022 NORTH GEORGIA STATE FAIR

Superior Plumbing Presents the 88th Annual North Georgia State Fair NOW, through Sunday, October 2, 2021 at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Rd., Marietta. The fair grounds will be open Wednesday and Thursday 4 to 11 p.m., Fridays 4 p.m. to midnight Saturdays 10 a.m., to midnight, and Sundays 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair attracts over 350,000 people every year from north Georgia and neighboring states. The Fair features live music, a variety of free attractions including world class ground acts from around the globe, not one but two petting barns featuring barnyard and exotic animals, flower shows; blue ribbon competitions for handmade goods and items, fruits, vegetables and artwork of all kinds; local entertainment, and delicious fair foods including all of the traditional fair, as well as lots of unexpected culinary delights.

NEW in 2022: The American Bull Riders Tour Saturday, October 1st at 8:00pm and Sunday, October 2nd at 6:00pm. Concerts FREE with fair admission
American bull riding has been called “the most dangerous eight seconds in sports.” To receive a score, the rider must stay on top of a bucking bull for at eight seconds with the use of one hand gripped on a bull rope tied behind the bull’s front legs.

NGSF POLICIES NEW THIS YEAR
The Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair will be implementing a new YOUTH ATTENDANCE POLICY, as well as a CLEAR BAG POLICY. This new policy is in line with other events and establishments and is designed to ensure a family friendly environment for all our patrons.
Youth Attendance Policy
After 6:00pm each day, no individual under the age of 17 will be allowed admission without a parent.
Clear Bag Policy:
Clear Bags may not exceed 12”x6”x12”. One-gallon resealable clear plastic freezer bags and small clutch purses no larger than 4.5”x 6.5” are also permitted.
Gate Entry Policy:
No Fair Entry Sun-Thurs After 9:00pm, and Fri-Sat After 10:00pm

NGSF NON-COMMERCIAL COMPETITIONS

The 1955 Cobb County Fair Premium catalogue stated – “The real purpose of the fair is to bring together for display, the best livestock, agriculture and home products made and grown the county.”Today the fair is the North Georgia State Fair, livestock and agriculture have almost become things of the past but the artistic and gardening talents of area residents will still be presented in the non-commercial exhibits in the 2022 Fair.

Non-commercial competitive divisions include needlework, sewing, and handicrafts which include jewelry, toys and woodworking.  Creative arts such as basketry, an expanded photography division, oil painting, watercolors and other media as well as ceramics woodcarving and sculpture are displayed along with food products in the agriculture/horticulture area. Food preservation, canning, drying and preserving vie for honors along with baked goods by entrants of all ages. The popular Christmas corner continues to grow and an expanded quilting division promises added incentives for quilters.

GATE ADMISSION

Gate Admission: $10.00 admission. Children 10 and under are free. Ride tickets are $1.25 each, $20.00 for 21 tickets, $50.00 for 55 tickets and $100 for 120 tickets. All rides require more than one ticket. Parking is $5. Concerts FREE with fair admission. ATM machines are located on the midway.
