SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN – THIS WEEK!.

Santa’s schedule is a whirl wind this week — all three of our communities have festivities planned to welcome him.  The City of Kennesaw jumped started the activities by holding their Annual tree lighting ceremony Wednesday Dec. 3. The evening began with a holiday choir performance at 6:30 PM in Depot Park, featuring classic and contemporary favorites. At 7:00 PM, Santa popped in to help light the park’s holiday tree, marking the official start of the season. This free event was open to the public and Kennesaw welcomes all ages to enjoy the all the festives Kennesaw has planned. See KENNESAW FESTIVITIES. SANTA ARRIVES AT THE MARIETTA SQUARE – THURSDAY, DEC. 4

The City of Marietta’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting and visit from Santa is planned for Thursday, Dec. 5. The fun begins at 4:00 pm with performances by local schools and church choirs. Santa’s arrival is planned for 5:15 pm aboard a Marietta firetruck. He will make his grand entrance to help the Mayor and the city of Marietta light the tree! Let MARIETTA’S

Dont miss the UGLY Sweater walking parade that starts about 4:45. The tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6:00 pm. Through out the evening children will have the opportunity to write their letter to Santa and music will be heard through out the park as the school choruses perform. The .4-mile parade will step off at 4:45PM at Marietta City Hall, travel west on Lawrence St, around the Square and end at Glover Park via East Park Square.

ACWORTH’S SANTA’S ARRIVES ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5

The City of Acworth, along with their partner NorthStar Church is excited to host this year’s Santa’s Arrival! Santa arrives in Historic Downtown Acworth on Friday, December 5, 2025. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m. Pictured above: Mayor Tommy Allegood  welcomes Santa. There will be a host of live performances and activities until 8:30 p.m. to help Santa kick off the holiday season. Bring the entire family to hear Mayor Tommy Allegood read The Night Before Christmas and watch the lighting of the tree on the Plaza behind Henry’s. Enjoy pictures with Mr. Claus, eating candy canes with all his elves, and filling the streets with the holiday spirit. Pictures with Santa are free each year and begin at 6:45 p.m. There will not be a photographer onsite, so please plan on bringing your camera to capture the special moment.

Christmas in Acworth Saturday, December 6

Come see Santa in Historic Downtown Acworth! Santa will be celebrating the season at Depot Park on Saturday, December 6 2025 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Families are welcome to stop by, visit, and take pictures. Pictures are free of charge. Breakfast with the Grinch – Saturday, December 13, 2025 – 9:00 AM

He’s been on the naughty list but he’s trying to be nice.  The Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department is excited to host Breakfast with the Grinch presented by JD’s Bar-B-Que at the Acworth Community Center on Saturday, December 13. Enjoy breakfast while the Grinch visits with each table for photo opportunities and to share Christmas wishes. After breakfast, the Grinch will join us as we do fun activities and create Grinch-themed crafts. Space is limited and you must register each person attending or reserve a table for the whole family!
