KENNESAW’S COMMUNITY EVENTS COMING UP!

The most fun for our kids is this Saturday at Adams’ Park — well moms and dads like it too. While you are at Touch A Truck, getting up close with a wide variety of vehicles, be sure to stop by the SUMMER CAMP EXPO inside the Kennesaw Recreation Center (the big building).

Kennesaw’s Touch-A-Truck – March 1

Touch-A-Truck, the exciting and educational annual community event hosted by the City of Kennesaw’s Parks & Recreation, Public Works and Police departments, will return to Adams Park on Saturday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Attendees can meet vehicle owners and operators while touching, climbing on and interacting with this awesome exhibition of transportation. There will be numerous vehicles on display, along with a variety of children’s activities. And the The Oscar Meyer mobile will be at here on handing out sample products.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission is free. Touch-A-Truck is sponsored by Williams Elleby Howard & Easter.

SUMMER CAMP EXPO

The City of Kennesaw’s Parks & Recreation department will be hosting their annual Summer Camp Expo on March 1. Summer Camp Expo is an open-house style event for the community to learn about the summer camps available through Kennesaw Parks & Recreation. This year, it will be held inside the Kennesaw Recreation Center. Kennesaw Parks & Recreation hosts a variety of camps on-site including Camp Venture, Kennesaw Parks & Recreations’ Summer Day Camp for first through fifth grades and the Kennesaw Teen Academy for sixth through eighth grades. Camp instructors will be on-site so attendees can meet them and learn more about the camps offered. Those who register on-site will be eligible to receive a 10% early bird discount on their registration.
Parks & Recreation Staff will also be available to discuss summer job opportunities. The City of Kennesaw will be hiring for Camp Leads and Counselors, as well as Splash Pad Leads and Attendants.  For more information, call Kennesaw Parks & Recreation at 770-422-9714.

KENNESAW’S Senior Luncheon SERIES

The 2025 Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Spring Senior Luncheon Series will return to the Kennesaw Recreation Center on March 5, April 2 and May 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each luncheon will include a social hour, a meal with a special presentation, and bingo. Sole KIDZ Running Club is Georgia’s premier running club for children, located in Kennesaw, GA.  Our mission is to teach kids in our community respect, self-confidence and self esteem through setting healthy goals, exercise, healthy living.   Sole KIDZ is a 12 week program meeting every Tuesday and Thursday in Spring and Fall culminating in 2 separate 5-K races.  During our season, Sole KIDZ are empowered with the knowledge that they need to stay healthy, respect others, and make positive lifestyle choices.

Each season, our Sole KIDZ will all run outside and play games, while learning that living an active and healthy lifestyle is both fun, and personally rewarding.
During our 12 week season, all of our KIDZ will be entered into, and complete two 5-K races in Downtown Kennesaw, and will have run up to a total of 50 miles. Register for our Spring Running Season. COUNTY WIDE JOB FAIR

The City of Kennesaw, in partnership with Cobb County, is hosting a County-Wide Job Fair! This is a great opportunity to bring talent and workforce to your organization, collect resumes for future use, expose your business to hundreds of possible patrons and network with other businesses! All businesses and industries are welcome!

The job fair will be held at the Cobb Civic Center on April 15, 2025 between the hours of 11:00am – 2:00pm. All vendors will be required to arrive at least an hour early for setup, and MUST STAY for the duration of the event. Tables and chairs will not be provided. All businesses will be required to pay a $50 booth fee to participate in the fair.
Participating Cities  include: Acworth, Kennesaw, Marietta, Powder Springs, Smyrna, Mableton and Austell along with participating area Town Center CID,.
