Enjoy breakfast while the Grinch visits each table for photo opportunities and to share Christmas wishes. After breakfast, the Grinch will join us as we create Grinch-themed ornaments and crafts. SAT DEC 13 All Aboard for Holiday Fun 9:30am – 5:00pm SOUTHERN MUSEUM hosts: On Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., the Southern Museum will celebrate the holidays with their annual All Aboard for Holiday Fun, offering festive activities for all ages, included with regular museum admission.The holiday event will feature a variety of live musical performances to set the festive tone. Guests can enjoy fiddle tunes by Doug Carson throughout the day, a special performance by Smyrna United Methodist Church’s “Sounding Joy Handbells” from 10 – 10:30 a.m., and Victorian carolers “Like the Dickens” from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.Visitors can explore Victorian-era traditions in the Cobb Gallery with Civil War soldier stories, candle dipping, card making, wreathmaking demonstrations and complimentary wassail. In the Jolley Education Center, holiday trades come to life through demonstrations by artisans, along with a children’s craft. Sat, Dec, 13 Wreaths Across America 12:00 – 1:30pm Kennesaw City Cemetery, an official Wreaths Across America location, will hold a wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with wreath placement immediately following. Local volunteers and sponsorship groups have funded 139 veterans’ wreaths to honor those who served. The event will feature Mayor Derek Easterling, local lineage societies, JROTC and Scout representatives, veterans, active service members, and families.Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit dedicated to remembering, honoring, and teaching about our nation’s veterans through annual wreath-laying ceremonies nationwide.

The City of Acworth invites everyone to join us for our 13th Annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 16 at 6:00 p.m. at Doyal Hill Park and the Acworth Rosenwald School.  Rabbi Zalman Charytan from the Chabad Jewish Center will officiate the lighting with Mayor Tommy Allegood. The eight day Jewish holiday commemorates the Jewish Maccabees’ military victory over Syrian-Greek oppression more than 2,000 years ago. During Chanukah, Jews across the world celebrate the miracle of light that burned for eight days out of a single-days-worth of oil found in the Temple. One Chanukah candle is lit the first night and an additional candle is lit each successive night. The holiday is a celebration of religious freedom and hope. WED DEC 17 Light Up Main Parade 6:00 pm Join Acworth for its annual Light Up Main Golf Cart Parade! Participation is free, but registration is required to join the parade line-up. It’s time to bust out the garland, lights, and tinsel to make your golf cart as festive as it can get. The parade has a fantastic downtown route zooming through neighborhoods to spread holiday cheer! Tell your friends and neighbors to line the streets. This year is an evening event and will begin at 6:00 p.m., so make sure to grab some solar-powered string lights and make it merry!
