ACWORTH EGG HUNT
On March 26, the City of Acworth and Freedom Church invite your family to participate in the return of the Acworth Egg Hunt! The event will take place at the Acworth Sports Complex (4000 South Main St.) on the baseball fields.
Safety Guidelines:
Face masks are strongly encouraged. Please do not attend if you or your children are feeling unwell or exhibit cold or flu symptoms. Only one parent per child will be allowed on the egg hunt fields. *Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no skydiving bunny this year. However, the bunny will make several appearances throughout the evening and be available for photos.
The egg hunt is divided into five age groups. To mitigate crowd sizes and maintain social distance, hunts will occur in 30-minute increments to allow each age group time to clear the area. Hunts will alternate between fields.
Schedule: 6:00 p.m. – 0-2 year olds (Field #4) 6:30 p.m. – 3-4 year olds (Field #6) 7:00 p.m. – 5-6 year olds (Field #4) 7:30 p.m. – 7-8 year olds (Field #6) 8:00 p.m. – 9-10 year olds (Field #4) For more information contact Jessy Patterson at jpatterson@acworth.org
Acworth Spring Break Baseball Camp
This three-day camp is open to athletes 5 to 12 years of age and will cover the basics of the sport of baseball that will assist in the development of every participant and is a great mini-camp to participate in over Spring Break! Camp will be held at the Acworth Sports Complex on the baseball fields on Tuesday, April 6, through Thursday, April 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The cost to participate in this camp is $35 for City of Acworth residents and $45 for non-residents. Acworth Business Association is Moving Forward: United and Strong
How do we move forward? We change and we grow. We have talked about confronting our preconceived notions, changing our thoughts and changing the world. We’ve also talked about growing by being a connector and building personal relationships.
Let’s take a look at how changing our thoughts can grow our business. As we make connections, we begin to encourage and support other businesses, even our competition. That’s where changing our thoughts comes into play. We have to stop seeing others as competition and more as collaborators.
Competition means one side wins and the other side loses. But it is possible for both sides to win? Of course! In a small town like Acworth, “a rising tide lifts all boats.”
This month, I challenge you to get to know people in the same business as you. Find out what they have to offer that you don’t. What can you learn from them? What can you teach them? How can you help each other? If you can’t help a particular client, who can?
As you begin to recommend other businesses to clients, the more other businesses will recommend clients to you. The more united we are as a business community, the stronger we are as individual businesses.
