SUPERIOR PLUMBING PRESENTS 2017 NORTH GEORGIA STATE FAIR

The 85th Annual North Georgia State Fair starts Thursday, Sept. 21,and runs through Sunday, October 1, 2017 with the following times: Monday through Thursday 4 to 11 p.m., Fridays 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays 10 a.m., to midnight, and Sundays 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair attracts nearly 300,000 people every year from north Georgia and neighboring states. The Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair features live music, free attractions and shows, farm animals, flower shows, blue ribbon competitions, local entertainment, and delicious fair foods. There are also games and rides on the Great James H. Drew Exposition midway– one of the largest carnival midways in the United States, featuring the Wildcat Rollercoaster and the Georgia Mountain Lift. A cornerstone of the fair, the great James H. Drew Exposition Midway returns with one of the largest carnival midways in the United States, featuring the Wildcat Rollercoaster and the Georgia Mountain Lift. Over 40 rides and numerous games will surely provide fun for all! All rides require more than (1) coupon each. The fair is held at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road S.W., Marietta, Georgia 30008.

The Georgia Lottery Concert Series for the 2017 Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair under the covered arena includes:
•Colton Dixon on Friday, September 22, at 8 p.m.; •Lauren Alaina on Saturday, September 23, at 8 p.m.; •Trace Adkins on Wednesday, September 27, at 8 p.m.; •Colt Ford on Thursday, September 28, at 8 p.m.; •Chris Janson on Friday, September 29, at 8 p.m.; •Zach Seabaugh on Saturday, September 30, at 8 p.m.  Concerts are included in the price of admission

New Ground Acts for 2017:

KACHUNGA AND THE ALLIGATOR SHOW – From deep in the swamps of Florida comes KACHUNGA! Watch in astonishment as he apprehends ferocious man-eating reptiles with his bare hands. This is not only an educational and fun show, but above all it is safe for everyone to view.

HORSES, HORSES, HORSES- Lisa Dufresne will delight and entertain the entire family.  She has taken her life-long love and passion for animals and transformed it into a stunning show of animal mastery.  She is traveling with three horses and nine American miniatures.  Her horses perform five acts, including a comedy show

FIREMAN HIGH DIVE SHOW Big splashes in a small pool! In addition to comedy dives, this show features Olympic-style dives, a high dive and a fire dive! Parents and kids of all ages will watch in amazement at this engaging and family-friendly show.

Returning in 2017:

Sea Lion Splash! – You’ll laugh and stare in amazement as these unique creatures balance balls, catch rings, do handstands and perform gymnastics tricks! This is the only traveling, self-contained sea lion show in the country! When the sea lions are not performing their hilarious and educational show, they will be on display so that everyone can view them as they swim and play.

Robinson’s Racing Pigs & Paddling Porkers – Come cheer on the funniest racing experience ever! Pig racing gets even better when celebrities like Britney Spareribs and Lindsay Slowham are vying for the coveted Oreo prize. These porkers will race and swim straight to the top of your most fun list!
Lady Houdini– Kristen Johnson is no “lovely” magician’s assistant. She’s Lady Houdini, an escape artist who has successfully performed thousands of public feats and broken Harry Houdini’s record for the most water escapes ever. She is currently the only female anywhere in the world attempting the water torture cell.

North Georgia Animals Petting Barn – at the south entrance of the fairgrounds provides a fun and educational experience for children and adults alike. Some of the animals that will be on hand include chickens, goats, cows, rabbits, llamas and much more! Pony rides too!
Other long-time traditions will continue, including sanctioned flower shows, non-commercial exhibits, and more than 40 amusement rides and games courtesy of the Great James H. Drew Exposition.

TICKET PRICES AND SPECIALS

Gate Admission: $7.00 admission. Children 10 and under are free. Ride tickets are $1.25 each, $20.00 for 21 tickets, $50.00 for 55 tickets and $100 for 120 tickets. All rides require more than one ticket. Parking is $5. Concerts FREE with fair admission. ATM machines are located on the midway.
