Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair

As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair once again returns in 2018 to the Jim R. Miller Park Sept. 20-30. The fair attracts nearly 300,000 people every year from north Georgia and neighboring states. The Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair features live music, free attractions and shows, farm animals, flower shows, blue ribbon competitions, local entertainment, and delicious fair foods. There are also games and rides on the Great James H. Drew Exposition midway – one of the largest carnival midways in the United States, featuring the Wildcat Rollercoaster, Georgia Mountain Lift and the Mega Slide.

A covered arena guarantees concerts rain or shine, including appearances by great country and contemporary Christian artists. Headlining the Carl Black Kennesaw Concert Series this year are: Crowder on Friday, Sept. 21; Dylan Scott on Saturday, Sept. 22; Colt Ford on Wednesday, Sept. 26; Easton Corbin on Thursday, Sept. 27; Montgomery Gentry on Friday, Sept. 28; and Riley Green on Saturday, Sept. 29. Concerts are free with fair admission.

New for 2018

Human Cannonball: David Smith is a 2nd generation “Human Cannonball”.  He has wowed audiences all over the world, shooting from his cannon and flying high above the midway.  David will be performing this death defying feat several times a day throughout the fair.

Robo-Cars: One of the most unique and entertaining acts you will see. These real life Transformers will be cruising, dancing, and transforming daily

Balloonopolis: Come watch as a team of balloon crafters builds a life-size carousel completely out of balloons.  Starting before opening day, the team will be working daily and completing their masterpiece the final weekend of the fair. The carousel will be the centerpiece of our brand new 40,000 square foot exhibit hall.

Exhibit Hall: We are so excited to debut our brand new 40,000 square foot exhibit hall this year.  This state of the art space will house commercial and non-commercial exhibits, the ever-popular flower show, and a life-size carousel made entirely of balloons.

Drew Exposition: The Great James H. Drew Exposition is even greater this year with the addition of TWO new rides.  The Matterhorn and the New York Taxi Cab Bumper Cars will be making their debut at this year’s fair.

New Foods: Several new food vendors will be joining the fair this year, bringing new and exciting food experiences along!!  A few of the new samplings are, pork chops on a stick, Mexican street corn, gourmet Tater-tots, Dippin’ Dots, tropical drinks, and grilled potatoes.

King and Queen of the Fair: We are so excited to announce the addition of a new special needs beauty pageant.  This wonderful event will coincide with Special Populations Night on Tuesday, September 25. 7:30 pm.

RETURNING  FOR 2018

Robinson’s Racing Pigs & Paddling Porkers – Come cheer on the funniest racing experience ever! Pig racing gets even better when celebrities like Britney Spareribs and Lindsay Slowham are vying for the coveted Oreo prize. These porkers will race and swim straight to the top of your most fun list!

Lady Houdini– Kristen Johnson is no “lovely” magician’s assistant. She’s Lady Houdini, an escape artist who has successfully performed thousands of public feats and broken Harry Houdini’s record for the most water escapes ever. She is currently the only female anywhere in the world attempting the water torture cell.

Brian Ruth “Master of the Chainsaw” – Will be back to transform raw logs into true works of art with only a chainsaw.

North Georgia Animals Petting Barn – at the south entrance of the fairgrounds provides a fun and educational experience for children and adults alike. Some of the animals that will be on hand include chickens, goats, cows, rabbits, llamas and much more! Pony rides too! Other long-time traditions will continue, including sanctioned flower shows, non-commercial exhibits, and more than 40 amusement rides and games courtesy of the Great James H. Drew Exposition.

Admission is $7, children 10 and under are free. Ride tickets are $1.25 each, $20 for 21 tickets, $50 for 55 tickets and $100 for 120 tickets. All rides require more than one ticket. Parking is $5. Concerts are free with fair admission. ATM machines are located on the midway. Advanced online prices are $5 for admission and $11 for a book of 21 tickets.
