Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum Book Signing – Oct 27

GWTW.13SEPTAuthors are coming and going at the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum these days.  As a literary site featuring Atlanta’s most famous author, it’s only fitting that today’s writers of southern literature be profiled in the museum bearing the title of her worldwide best-seller, Gone With the Wind.

The museum is excited to welcome its next author, journalist and travel writer Trish Foxwell whose soon-to-be-released A Visitor’s Guide to the Literary South will be discussed.  This latest endeavor follows in the footsteps of some of American literature’s most renowned writers offering its readers the opportunity to see the hotel in Louisville, Kentucky that inspired F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby.  Readers can step inside the Asheville North Carolina home that became the model for Thomas Wolfe’s Look Homeward Angel.  You may want to visit the Florida Lighthouse whose beacon Stephen Crane followed after his shipwreck or wander along the West Lawn at the University of Virginia and see the house where Edgar Allan Poe lived.

The literary journey of Foxwell’s book will take you to these sites and more as you travel throughout the American South.  From Virginia to Louisiana with A Visitor’s Guide to the Literary South in hand, you will experience the haunts, havens, and homesteads of important writers who lived in, visited, or were inspired by the South’s fertile soil.

The Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum will host Trish Foxwell on Sunday, October 27th at 2:00 pm with a lecture and autograph signing.  A Visitor’s Guide to the Literary South will be available for purchase in the museum gift shop.  Seating is limited so please call to reserve your spot.  770-794-5576 – www.gwtwmarietta.com
