Kennesaw’s Salute to America – July 3

The City of Kennesaw will host its annual Pre-Independence Day Celebration of freedom, music and fireworks on Tuesday, July 3 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 pm in downtown Kennesaw. Admission to the event is FREE. Salute to America will feature two stages of live music, festive street entertainment, food vendors, and kid’s activities. The evening will be capped off with a brilliant fireworks finale at 9:30 pm.

On the Main Street stage from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., The School of Rock, a student lead band will impress the crowd with their music. The American Flyers, an Atlanta-based party band, will perform music spanning from the classics of yesterday to the top hits of today on the Main Street Stage beginning at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m. and on the Depot stage, Fantabulous, a 5-piece party band will perform Top 40 hits from the 1960’s to today from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 pm, Head Games – The Foreigner Tribute Band will perform all of the legendary rock band’s classic songs, including “Feels Like the First Time,” “Hot Blooded,” and “Juke Box Hero.”

In addition to street vendor and sponsor booths, attractions will include free and pay-to-play inflatable amusement park games and mechanical rides. A wide selection of entrées, cold beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase. Attendees may bring picnic baskets or coolers. Grills will not be allowed.
A six-foot rectangular table with chairs will be located in front of the Depot Stage. This area seats six and can be reserved for $75. With the exception of reserved tables near the Depot Stage, all seating will be general admission, so bring a blanket or comfortable low-back chairs.

Kennesaw city parks are “Breathe Easy Zones”; tobacco products, smoking, and e-cigarettes are prohibited in Depot Park. Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) will be available for convenient cash withdrawals. The event may be cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather conditions.
