Kennesaw Police Chief Westenberger Accepts the Challenge

Smiling and dry before the challengeChief Westenberger has accepted his ALS ice bucket challenge from Chief Dennard of the Acworth Police Department. To help raise more money for ALS, the Chief  auctioned off the position of pouring the water.

As you can see by the photos, the Chief had an abundance of water due to the size of the Gatorade cooler used.

In return for meeting the challenge Chief Westenberger has challenged Mayor Mark Mathews, Councilwoman Dr. Cris Welsh, and Asst City Manager Jeff Drobney to the ALS ice bucket challenge.

We understand that Mayor Mathews will meet the challenge on Friday evening around 6:00 pm at the start of the Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival at Adams Park.

Such a good sport.  Chief is pictured at left – smiling and dry before the challenge begins, and below in different stages of the icy dump.
