FRI NOV 16 JOHN BERRY IN CONCERT – For the fourth year, Grammy award winning singer/songwriter John Berry will open his annual Christmas tour at Marietta High School’s Performing Arts Center. This concert, scheduled for Friday, November 16, at 7:30 pm, benefits the Marietta High School College and Career Academy. SAT NOV 17 ACWORTH TURKEY CHASE 5K – DOWNTOWN ACWORTH. All participants must bring a non-perishable food item on race day to receive their race number and Acworth Turkey Chase t-shirt. All non-perishable food items are to benefit the Tackle Hunger Program. Come enjoy an exhilarating 5K run through Historic Downtown Acworth and along the shores of beautiful Lake Acworth. SAT NOV 17 HARRISON HS BAND RECYCLING Harrison High School Marching Band is holding an Electronics and Paint Recycle Day on Saturday, November 17th, 9:00am-5:00pm in the Upper Parking Lot of Harrison High School. Please bring items to be recycled. There is a $10.00 requested donation per car load. 100% of the donation goes to the HHS Bands program.

MON NOV 19 MARIETTA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION – The next MBA monthly luncheon will be held Nov. 19that Roswell Street Baptist Church – in the Fellowship Center at 744 Roswell Street, Marietta 30060, with parking in the East Parking Lot at Aviation Road SE and Roswell Street. TUES NOV 27 KENNESAW TREE LIGHTING Join Mayor Easterling and other city officials at Depot Park in downtown Kennesaw on Tuesday, November 27, for the time-honored tradition of “flipping the switch” to illuminate the official Christmas tree. The free hour-long program begins at 6 pm and will include festive choral music and sing-along, light refreshments, and plenty of holiday cheer.

THURS NOV 29 MARIETTA WELCOMES SANTA – The City of Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in conjunction with the arrival of Santa Claus on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The Christmas Cheer begins at 4:00pm on Thursday, November 29th with performances by local school choruses. Santa makes his grand entrance via a City of Marietta firetruck at 5:20pm followed by the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree at 6pm.

SAT DEC 1 – HOG HOSTS BREAKFAST WITH SANTA. HOG Hosts their 6th Annual Photos with Santa Breakfast at O’Charley’s in Acworth on December 1st for a Photo-shoot with Santa Claus from 7:30-10:00 AM. SAT DEC 1 – KENNESAW’S SANTA PARADE The City of Kennesaw will usher in the holiday season on Saturday, December 1 with a Main Street parade featuring marching bands, decorated floats, vintage cars, colorfully-costumed characters, and Santa Claus himself. The parade begins at noon at the entrance to Adams Park on Main Street, and will wind through downtown Kennesaw on Main Street. The celebration continues at Depot Park, 2828 Cherokee Street, until 6 pm with A Day with Santa. Activities include a snow playground, inflatables and amusements, kid’s crafts, visits with Santa, stage entertainment, and a holiday market full of gift ideas and unique merchandise. TUES DEC 4 – MENORAH LIGHTING CEREMONY ACWORTH – The City of Acworth invites everyone to our annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m.  This will be the third night of Hanukkah.  The Menorah is located at the corner of Cowan Road and Main Street in Downtown Acworth. Rabbi Zalman Charytan from the Chabad Jewish Center will officiate the lighting with Mayor Tommy Allegood assisting. FRI DEC 7 ACWORTH’S SANTA ARRIVAL The City of Acworth, along with their partner NorthStar Church is excited to host this year’s Santa’s Arrival! Santa arrives in Historic Downtown Acworth on Senator Russell Avenue on Friday, December 7. Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m. Pictures with Santa are free each year and begin at 6:45 p.m. There will not be a photographer onsite, so please plan on bringing your camera to capture the special moment. FRI DEC 7 MARIETTA POPS ORCHESTRA HOLIDAY CONCERT -Friday night, December 7 at 7:30, Marietta Pops Orchestra is presenting their ninth annual holiday-pops concert. Marietta Pops Orchestra, formerly Symphony on the Square, is the new name for an orchestra now almost nine-years old. This year the annual holiday concert will be in the 800-seat sanctuary of First Baptist Church Marietta, 148 Church St., Marietta. FRI DEC 7 STRAND OLE OPRYS COUNTRY CHRISTMAS – Enjoy a rocking own-home bluegrass concert of holiday music performed on the banjo, fiddle, guitar, bass, and washboard. A band of merry singers and traditional southern storytellers invite patrons onto The Strand’s metaphorical ‘back porch’ to bring a little twang to the tinsel season. Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 the day of the concert.

FRI & SAT DEC 7 & 8 CHRISTMAS AT PIEDMONT CHURCH = Join us for a festive celebration; Christmas at Piedmont Church Arts & Craft Show will be buzzing with activity on Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th.   Come shop the wide variety of unique arts and crafts exhibitors from all over the southeast. Delicious festival food to warm your insides, local entertainment, FREE rides on the 50-foot Snow Tube ride on Friday and FREE Petting Zoo on Saturday. Bring your camera for a photo op with Santa, FREE children’s activities, roasting marshmallows & smores and much, much more. SAT DEC 8 BREAKFAST WITH SANTA (two seatings at the Ben Robertson Community Center). The Kennesaw Acworth Optimist Club is hosting an “all you care to eat” breakfast complete with pancakes, sausage juice, coffee and table to table visits with the jolly old Elf himself. Grandma Elf will also be doing holiday readings for the big and little alike. Seatings are available from 8:00 am to 9:15 am or 10:am to 11:15 am. Tickets are only $6 per person and can be purchased online at or at the Ben Robertson Community Center. Tickets are nonrefundable after December 2. Tickets can also be purchased at the door based on availability.

SAT DEC 8 SOUTHERN MUSEUM- The Southern Museum, located in downtown Kennesaw, is assisting Santa this year with his toy production and hosting a special day for families on Saturday, December 8, from 9:30 am to 5 pm. The Museum will also be a toy drop-off location for the Jerry Worthan Memorial Christmas Fund, sponsored by the Kennesaw Police Department, from November 1 through December 15. All collected toys will go to community families and children in need. Santa and Mrs. Claus join the fun in the afternoon from 1 pm to 5 pm. Museum regular admission is $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors ages 60 and over, and $5.50 for children ages 4-12. Museum members receive free event admission. SAT DEC 8 HOYA MERRY MARKET – Mark your calendar! Harrison High School will hold its third annual HOYA MERRY MARKET on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Crafters will sell their hand-made items in the school’s main dining hall from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Market is open to the public and admission is FREE.

SUN DEC 9 SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF THE SEASON presented by GREAT GIG. The show will feature the talented dancers of Great Gig Dance Ensemble and the premier of The Jazzy Nutcracker, a fresh take on a classic story, and includes Acworth’s Mayor, Tommy Allegood and Kennesaw’s Mayor, Derek Easterling. A reception featuring holiday desserts begins at 5:00pm and includes a holiday-themed silent auction, followed by the show in the theater. SAT DEC 15 BREAKFAST WITH SANTA HOSTED BY THE NORTHWEST YMCA 10-12. Bring your children and enjoy the morning bouncing, crafting, playing games and visiting with Santa.  Also enjoy a pancake breakfast and performances by the YMCA Dance and Tumble Academy.This event is Free to members and the community. “Lumiere Lounge” (6-10pm) on the second floor at the Strand Theatre Come to the Strand and pay homage to the days of old with a silent film inspired piano bar and lounge! As you sink into a plush couch or join a friend at a café table, the modern world seems to drift away as classic silent films quietly flicker in the background while a live pianist plays. The Lumière Lounge will feature specialty cocktails made with local ‘Hometown Honey’ in addition to a full bar. Lumière is held on the second floor lounge on select Friday and Saturday nights from 6-10pm. GHOSTS OF MARIETTA WALKING TOUR (7:30pm) Walk the streets of our haunted city by lantern light, guided by one of our talented storytellers.
