THU NOV 16 – ABA WOMEN’S LUNCHEON – The ABA Women’s Business Network Luncheon will be held at Henry’s Louisiana Grill, from 11:30 until 1:00 pm. THU NOV 16 – ECUMENICAL THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION – This event will take place at Temple Kol Emeth, 1415 Old Canton Rd., Marietta, at 7:00 pm.. It is free to the public. FRI NOV 17 – WINTER WONDERLAND RETURNS! – The City of Marietta is pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Winter Wonderland returns do Marietta Square when the Ice Skating rink opens in Glover Park. MON-TUE NOV 20-21 – THANKSGIVING BREAK CAMP – The City of Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to host a two-day Thanksgiving Break Camp for children ages 5-12 from 9am-4pm at the Custer Park Sports and Fitness Center located at 545 Kenneth Marcus Way, Marietta, GA 30060. Extended services are available for $10 per day with early drop off beginning at 7:30am and late pickup ending at 6:00pm. TUE NOV 21 – ACWORTH SENIOR LUNCH – Join us for the City of Acworth Parks and Recreation Departments Senior Luncheon. Come join us for lunch, bingo, and other special activities. The luncheon is held at Roberts School Community and Education Center (4681 School Street) in Acworth. Lunch is served at noon. After lunch we will have several rounds of bingo with prizes. TUES NOV 28 – CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING 6:00 pm.  Join the City of Kennesaw and elected officials at the pedestrian underpass plaza directly across from Revival on Main in downtown Kennesaw on Tuesday, November 28 for the time-honored tradition of “flipping the switch” to illuminate the official Christmas tree. The free hour-long program begins at 6 pm and will include festive choral music and sing-along, light refreshments, and plenty of holiday cheer. THU NOV 30 – City of Marietta Santa’s Arrival & Christmas Tree Lighting – The City of Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in conjunction with the arrival of Santa Claus in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The fun begins at 4:00pm with performances by local school choruses. Santa makes his grand entrance via a City of Marietta firetruck at 5:20pm followed by the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree at 6pm. Important information – Santa must leave the Square promptly 8pm that evening to make his way back to the North Pole!

FRI-SUN DEC 1-3 – THE NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCE – The Georgia Ballet will perform the Holiday favorite “The Nutcracker” on December 1-3 at the Jennie T. Anderson Theater at the Cobb Civic Center. FRI DEC 1 – SANTA ARRIVES IN ACWORTH! – It’s that special time again! SAT DEC 2 – SANTA PARADE AND HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES – The City of Kennesaw will usher in the holiday season on Saturday, December 2 with a Main Street parade at noon featuring marching bands, decorated floats, vintage cars, colorfully-costumed characters, and Santa Claus himself. The celebration continues at Depot Park, 2828 Cherokee Street, until 6 pm with A Day with Santa presented by WellStar Health Systems. Activities include a snow playground, inflatables and amusements, kid’s crafts, visits with Santa, stage entertainment, and a holiday market full of gift ideas and unique merchandise. SAT DEC 2 – MERRY HOYA MARKET – Harrison High School will host its 2nd annual Merry Hoya Market in the school dining hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items for sale range from jewelry and handmade soaps and candles to indoor and outdoor Christmas décor and wooden plaques. Vendors are local crafters, including some staff members of Harrison and its feeder schools. Spaces may still be available for crafters wishing to participate. SAT DEC 2 – ART AT THE PARK HOUSE 6-9 The Cty of Acworth can hardly wait for you to come see the newly renovated Art at the Park House, located at the corner of Cherokee and Taylor Streets on the northeast corner of Logan Farm Park. SAT DEC 2 COBB NEW HORIZONS SYMPHONIC BAND presents a Christmas Concert, Sounds of the Season. Admission is FREE. The Cobb New Horizons Symphonic Band, under the direction of Acworth resident, Dr. Charles R. Jackson, is a group of senior adult musicians, ranging in age from 50 to 93.

SAT DEC 9 – BREAKFAST WITH SANTA – KENNESAW – Kennesaw Parks & Recreation is partnering with the Kennesaw-Acworth Optimist Club to host an “all-you-care-to-eat” pancake breakfast with Santa at the Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive. Attendees are encouraged to bring a camera. Two seating options are available: 8 to 9:15 a.m.; and 10 to 11:15 a.m. Advance tickets are only $6 per person, and can be purchased online at or at the Ben Robertson Community Center. SUN DEC 10 – GREAT GIG presents Sights and Sounds of the Season at North Star Church. TUE DEC 12 – GUN SAFETY SEMINAR – Marietta Police Department Firearm Safety Seminar is at 6:30pm.  This free seminar is conducted and designed to educate Georgia residents on a variety of topics to include gun safety, being a responsible weapon owner, weapon laws, details about gun permits, and alternative weapon usage (pepper spray, civilian model stun guns, etc.). “Lumiere Lounge” (6-10pm) on the second floor at the Strand Theatre Come to the Strand and pay homage to the days of old with a silent film inspired piano bar and lounge!
