FRI APR 5- FRI OCT 25 ACWORTH FARMERS MARKET – NEW LOCATION – The Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer’s Market will begin this season on Friday, April 5 and continue each Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until noon through Friday, October 25. The market is moving to the Logan Farm Park Expansion Parking lot (4405 Cherokee Street). The Acworth Farmer’s Market is proudly sponsored by the Acworth Downtown Development Authority. MONDAYS May 6 – August 26 KENNESAW FARMER’S MARKET AND DINNER AT THE DEPOT. The Farmer’s Market & Dinner at the Depot returns May 6th on Monday evenings at the Depot. The season will go until AUGUST 26th with no events on Memorial Day, the week of July 4th. Hours for FM are 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Dinner at the Depot will start at 5:30 pm and go until 8:30 pm. The Farmer’s Market is rain or shine and guests should follow the Dinner at the Depot Facebook page for updates on trucks, entertainment and weather closures at https://www.facebook.com/Dinner-at-the-Depot.

NOW-MEMORIAL DAY – YAARAB SHRINE CIRCUS AND FAIR The largest Shrine Circus and Fair in North America is back for its 77th year! The Midway opens Friday, May 17th and the Circus is open Saturday, May 18, through Monday (Memorial Day), May 27, 2019. SNEAK-A-PEEK-RIDE-A-THON” on Friday, May 17, $10.00 unlimited rides (Only Carnival and food – no circus performance). Come enjoy the best ride special all week!!!

This exciting event takes place at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta, GA 30008. The Midway is open Monday through Friday at 5:00 pm, Saturday and Memorial Day at 10 am and Sunday at Noon. Circus Times are Monday through Friday: 11:00 a.m., and 7:00 p.m. (No 11:00 a.m. Circus Tuesday, May 21, and Thursday, May 23). Saturdays: 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Sundays: 1:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.and Memorial Day, 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Parking is $5.00 per car. Tickets available online at www.2019shrinecircus.com. Admission is $5 (10 & under free), Ride Tickets $11.00 for 21 tickets or purchase a MEGA PASS – $21.95 per person.

SAT MAY 25 ACWORTH’S MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY The ceremony to honor those who have given their lives in service to our country will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Veterans Memorial at Patriots Point in Cauble Park. Veterans and current servicemen will pay tribute to brave men and women who have fought and died for our nation. Engraved pavers dedicated to those who have served in our armed forces that have been purchased since the previous Veterans Day will be presented at the event. FRI MAY 31 GLOVER PARK CONCERT SERIES. The Marietta community will again be “dancing in the street” during the Glover Park Concert Series. The series features local and regional acts on the last Friday night, NOW through September. Come listen to the Rock and Roll music of 7 Sharp 9.  Blankets and lawn chairs may be set up in the park. Personal tables and plastic ground coverings are not permitted in the park, however they may be set up on the street after 5:30 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner (beer & wine is permitted) or dine in one of the many fine restaurants located on the square.  All concerts begin at 8:00 (rain or shine) and are held in Glover Park on the Historic Marietta Square Free on street parking, City Hall parking deck, 205 Lawrence St and the Care Here of Marietta parking lot, 268 Lawrence St. Concerts are free. Table reservations can be made online at www.mariettaga.gov/concerts.

SAT JUNE 1 KENNESAW’S FREE OUT DOOR MOVIE – Grab the kids, your friends, and neighbors and head on down to Swift Cantrell Park, for an evening of fun and a movie: ony Pictures Entertainment’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (rated PG) will be projected onto a giant inflatable screen after sundown. Arrive at 6 p.m. for pre-movie entertainment, giveaways and outdoor fun. For your comfort, bring a blanket or low-back chairs. Pop-up tents, canopies or beach umbrellas that can obstruct the view of others are not permitted. Concessions will be available for purchase or bring your own picnic. THURS JUNE 6 MARIETTA TREE KEEPERS BEER TASTING FUNDRAISER. Marietta Tree Keepers invites you to attend our annual fundraiser beer tasting on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 5-7pm Come out and enjoy a delicious variety of craft beers, win great raffle prizes, enjoy hors d’oevres, and help support Marietta Tree Keepers, a great organization. FRI-SUN JUNE 7-9 Dixie Highway Yard Sale This event goes from Marietta all the way to the Georgia-Tennessee State Line. The Marietta History Museum is participating on Friday and Saturday. The Museum’s Yard Sale will start on Friday, June 7th at 10am and will end at 9pm, coinciding with the First Friday Art Walk. The sale will then continue Saturday, June 8th from 10am until 4pm. All proceeds from this event go towards the care and preservation of the Museum’s permanent collection. SAT/SUN  – MARIETTA FARMER’S MARKET. Year round on Saturdays from 9am-12pm. Sundays: May-October – 12 pm till 3 pm. Takes up residence on N. Park Square. Market customers have a variety of produce to choose from including heirloom tomatoes, fruits and vegetables that are rarely, available from the grocery store. THURSDAYS: SOUTHERN MUSEUM MOMMY & ME CLASSES. Join us each Thursday from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm for Mommy & Me! Our program is specifically designed for children aged 3-5 and their caregivers. Discover and explore the world around us through play! Create, experiment, investigate, and learn together. Each week has a different theme, and lots of fun new activities to play with. “Lumiere Lounge” (6-10pm) on the second floor at the Strand Theatre Come to the Strand and pay homage to the days of old with a silent film inspired piano bar and lounge! As you sink into a plush couch or join a friend at a café table, the modern world seems to drift away as classic silent films quietly flicker in the background while a live pianist plays. The Lumière Lounge will feature specialty cocktails made with local ‘Hometown Honey’ in addition to a full bar. Lumière is held on the second floor lounge on select Friday and Saturday nights from 6-10pm.
