The Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival is held in downtown Kennesaw on both sides of Main Street (Highway 293) and is co-sponsored by the City of Kennesaw and the Kennesaw Business Association (a non-profit organization). The hours of operation are 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 21, and noon-5:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 22. Admission is FREE. SAT APR 28 THEY WILL SKATE AGAIN – 9:00 am till 2:00 pm. Life Rolls On is inviting hundreds of volunteers, people of all ages with disabilities, as entire families come together for an epic day at the Kennesaw Skate Park, in Swift Cantrell Park,Kennesaw on Saturday April 28. Bring a helmet, knee and elbow pads, and of course, your fastest wheels. Very special thanks for triple eight offering to bring some helmets and knee and elbow pads for athletes who don’t have their own equipment, but want to participate! All Athletes and Volunteers need to register at before the day of the event.

SAT APR 28 – KENNESAW RECYCLING AND SHREDDING EVENT 9 am till 1 pm at the Kennesaw Public Works facility, 3080 Moon Station Rd. This event is free and open to all. Perfect opportunity to recycle unwanted electronics, scrap metal items, donate gently used shoes and shred personal documents securely.

SAT APR 28 – KENNESAW BEER FEST 1-5 PM. 100 plus beers on tap, with several local are craft beers, including samples from Burnt Hickory Brewery, Dry County Brewing, and Southern Sky Brewing, plus whiskey samples from Lazy Guy Distillery. SAT APR 28 KENNESAW FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH 8:30. The Women’s Ministry at Kennesaw First Baptist Church would like to invite the ladies in the area to join us for the Pricilla Shirer simulcast on April 28.  Worship will be led by Anthony Evan.  Doors open at 8:30 and the event ends at 4:45 in the Gathering Center at KFBC.  Tickets can be purchased at  The ticket price includes morning and afternoon snacks and lunch.

SAT APR 28 – GLORY IN THE GARDEN 7:00 pm. Glory in the Garden, benefiting Marietta Educational Garden Center is Saturday, April 28th at 7 pm. It’s not too late to secure a table and/or meal. SAT MAY 5 “EMBRACE”- A Worship Celebration for Women Featuring Babbie Mason Live 1-3 Northwest Christian Church. We invite you to join us for this special event for women on Saturday, May 5th from 1-3pm at Northwest Christian Church. You’ll experience Christ-centered worship music led by Babbie Mason, God-honoring testimonies, and a huge dose of encouragement as we celebrate what Jesus has done for us. SAT & SUN – MAY 5-6 MAY-RETTA DAZE ARTS & CRAFTS. The Marietta Parks and Recreation Department invites our community to attend the 42nd Annual May-retta Daze Arts and Crafts Festival held in Glover Park in the Historic Marietta Square on May 5-6, 2018. Sat 10-5; Sun 11-5.
More than 100 local and area artists and craftspeople will display and sell their paintings, pottery, jewelry, and much more at the annual festival. Admission to the festival is free.

SAT MAY 12 SWIFT CANTRELL 5K -Downtown Kennesaw. The fun begins at 7:30AM with the 1 Mile Fun Run. At 8:00AM the 5K Run/Walk. And at 8:55AM – Tot Trot. The early registration fee is $25. $30 starting May 1 and $35 cash the day of the race. Register online

FRI SAT SUN – MAY 18-20 MARIETTA GREEK FESTIVAL You’ll pick up the scent of delicious Greek dishes as your palate is tempted by heavenly Greek pastries. Your ears will perk up at the live music, while your eyes gaze upon the authentically costumed dancers as they perform in the South’s only Greek amphitheater! Inside the Agora (marketplace), you’ll have a unique shopping experience courtesy of a multitude of merchants. Outside, your children can participate in various games, activities and crafts in the Kid’s Area. Niko’s Pub offers adults the opportunity to quench their thirst with Greek wine, beer, and liqueur, and the new Greek Street Food tent offers delightful portable food options. FRIDAYS ACWORTH FARMER’S MARKET The Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer’s Market is open for this season  and will continue each Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until noon through Friday, October 26. The market is located in Historic Downtown Acworth in the Acworth First Baptist Church Parking Lot on the north end of Main Street. The Acworth Farmer’s Market is sponsored by the Acworth Downtown Development Authority. “Lumiere Lounge” (6-10pm) on the second floor at the Strand Theatre Come to the Strand and pay homage to the days of old with a silent film inspired piano bar and lounge! As you sink into a plush couch or join a friend at a café table, the modern world seems to drift away as classic silent films quietly flicker in the background while a live pianist plays. The Lumière Lounge will feature specialty cocktails made with local ‘Hometown Honey’ in addition to a full bar. Lumière is held on the second floor lounge on select Friday and Saturday nights from 6-10pm. GHOSTS OF MARIETTA WALKING TOUR (7:30pm) Walk the streets of our haunted city by lantern light, guided by one of our talented storytellers. This tour is approximately 90 minutes and the walk is under a mile. Ghost tours are at 7:30pm every Thur, Fri & Sat. Paid reservations required in advance. 770-425-1006.

SATURDAYS  MARIETTA SQUARE ARTISAN MARKET is on Second and Fourth Saturdays.  April through November. The Marietta Square Artisan Market is an open-air showcase of locally-created fine art and premium hand-crafted goods. It is held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm from April to November. Enjoy the paintings, drawings, and photography of fine artists settled alongside skilled craftspeople who feature an eclectic roster of distinctive goods including fire pits, cutting boards, terraria, pens, and fine jewelry.
