Visit Marietta Square this Friday, March 6th, for a fun-filled evening of art and music. First Friday Art Walk is celebrating the start of its 8th season with a kick-off party hosted by the always eclectic Marina Marina, on Powder Springs Street across from Marietta Wine Market. Everyone is welcome from 5 to 9pm to enjoy music, refreshments and displays by talented local artists.
While on the Square, be sure to stop by the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art for the third Trilogy Show, co-hosted by Red Door Art Gallery. dk Gallery presents their whimsical show “Smile.” Along Church Street, 2 Rules Fine Art and Lenny’s Hair Salon will host artists and music by Art Walk favorite Aspen Countryman. As a special treat, Marietta Square Artists Attic is offering a preview of artwork to be featured in their Dutch Auction on March 29th benefitting the Foundation for Hospital Art.
ABC is our guiding theme this year. Art Walks are all the rage, and Marietta Square’s Art Walk is simply the best. Its unique collaboration between Artists, Businesses and Community – the ABC’s – allows everyone to come together in this monthly opportunity to promote the wonderful cultural, shopping and dining experiences on the Marietta Square.
Marietta’s First Friday Art Walk provides the ABC’s for family fun on the Square from March through November. Fun evenings are in store this year, as the Marietta Square, a uniquely authentic city center, captures the best of in-town culture and small town charm.
