WED-SUN JAN 18-FEB 12 – TROUBADOUR PERFORMANCE – Atlanta’s Tony Award® winning Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce the its upcoming world premiere musical, Troubadour, by playwright Janece Shaffer (The Geller Girls, Broke) with original music by Grammy Award-winning recording artist Kristian Bush. Set in 1950s Nashville, Troubadour is a romantic comedy about an unlikely group of friends whose unconventional style changes the course of country music. The cast includes Atlanta-based actor Andrew Benator (Disgraced, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest); Nashville-based singer-songwriter and actor Sylvie Davidson; country music singer-songwriter, musician, and music producer Radney Foster; Atlanta-based actor and singer-songwriter Rob Lawhon (Songs to Grow On, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County); Atlanta-based actor Bethany Anne Lind (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Edward Foote), and Atlanta-based singer-songwriter and finalist of the NBC hit television series “The Voice,” Zach Seabaugh.

Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2:30 and 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.,  Tickets start at $20 and are available at the Woodruff Arts Center Box Office in person or by calling 404-733-5000.  Tickets are also available online at www.alliancetheatre.org/troubadour.  The Alliance Theatre is located at the Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree Street, NE, Atlanta, GA 30309, at the corner of Peachtree and 15th Street, in Midtown.

SAT JAN 21 – STRAND OLE OPRY – 8-10 The Strand is excited to present it’s very own Strand Ole Opry! Following in the footsteps of a great southern tradition, this concert will transport patrons to the old south with beautiful vocals and live band accompaniment. Songs will include favorites like Church In The Wildwoods, Tennessee Waltz, Big Iron, In the Pines, Will The Circle Be Unbroken (Glory, Glory), and many more!  Tickets are $18.00-$20.00 and may be purchased online at earlsmithstrand.org. SAT JAN 21 – OFFICIAL BLUES BROTHERS REVUE – 8 p.m., The 2017 Encore Series kicks off with a performance from the Official Blues Brothers Revue. Other upcoming shows in the Encore Series include Andy Williams Moon River and Me (featuring Jimmy Osmond) on Feb. 4, and the Buckinghams on Feb. 28. Season pass for $180. Individual ticket sales for shows can be purchased at ticketmaster.com. Jennie T. Anderson Theatre is located inside of the Cobb County Civic Center at 548 S. Marietta Parkway, Marietta.

MON JAN 23 – MARIETTA BUSINESS LUNCHEON – We have the honor of having Lt. Governor Casey Cagle as our guest speaker. SAT-SUN JAN 28 & 29 – TRAINS TRAINS TRAINS – 9:30am-5pm both days, Hosted by the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History. Come see new model train layouts, interactive models, crafts, music and more!
